Apparently, we're looking to play two spinners in Sydney. Ashton Agar has been added to the squad.

England 5/233 at stumps.

A couple of late wickets with the new ball swung the game back for the Aussies.

Felt a bit sorry for Root at the end there. Bloke cannot capitalise on good starts. It was a pretty reasonable shot, just a ripping catch from Marsh ( :-\ ).

Eng 6/360 at Tea.

Another chance missed when a catchable ball flew between Paine and Smith at first slip. Paine had to go for it.

All Aussies today - 3/365 at Tea.

Ahead by 19 runs and still with 7 wickets in hand. Should be aiming for 600 now and then throw the Poms in on what will be a decaying pitch on the last day and a half.

Credit where it's due. Khawaja has finally turned a start into a big innings.

Khawaja  166*
S.Marsh    54*

Australia 304/8 (50 ov) .... Finch 107, Stoinis 60, M.Marsh 50

England 308/5 (48.5/50 ov) .... Roy 180 (off 150 balls), Root 91*

England won by 5 wickets (with 7 balls remaining).

Our fast bowlers got smacked.

Do people still care about ODI's outside the World Cup?

MCG looked more like it was hosting Melbourne and North than Australia and England.... :shh

Apart from Finch's century, another pretty ordinary effort from the Aussies in the last 25. Given the start, we should have easily reached 300.

Aus 9/270 after 50 overs.

Even Finch's century was sub par. Less than a run a ball isn't good enough these days in the short form. Still, better than the rest of the slobs in the team. How T Head is still getting a gig is beyond me.
