First thing I thought when I saw it, CR.  ;D

Should be John Farnham so he can have a final farewell with someone else instead of the 20 or 30 he's had on his own.
It's 50 of one and half a dozen of the other - Don Scott

I'd pay five hundred if they reduced Jon Stevnes to about 0mins.

Have to agree jack $350 a head is a disgrace. Puts it out of reach for the "average" (and I hate that term btw) supporter. Out of protest and disgust I wont be going  :banghead :banghead

And as for the 2 hour ticket can't even tell us how much that is going to cost

Really wanted to support this because Richo deserves it but at $350 a head forget it  :banghead

Disgraceful effort RFC

Totally agree.
Rather put $350.00 on the bar and have a drink with him. :cheers
RFC could have done something really good for Mat.
Like a function at the Tennis Centre or somewhere similiar and done a good job at it.

It's ordinary from the club, but what did you expect.  They rely on our faith and our emotion.  The price is out of reach but I am sure some of our everyday battlers will find a way to go.  Just make sure you get out before Jon Stevens takes the stage guys.

What on earth is this?

I thought Richo said that his farewell at the G was the last hurrah and then we'd all move on?

I'll go so far as to say this is very poor judgement from the club & I am surprised Richo has agreed to it as well.

Should be John Farnham

Gold.

Sounds like the club is trying to milk every last $ out of the supporters it can using Richo's name.
Probably trying to make up for the loss of income from the drop in members

$350 huh?  I take it the wine won't be in goonies?  Each table place will be set with multiple plastic forks and knives for each course of pie and sauce and the entre of chips with sauce and of course the alternative vegetarian pastie.  Dessert will be a vanilla slice.
Richo will be doing a Jazz ballet piece to a musical rendition of up there Cazaly where he will take speccies off of Mike sheahans back and occasionally tackle him depending on the verse of the song.  Mike Sheahan will be trussed and ball gagged for the event, and probably for the night.
Lots of people name their swords......

Maybe this is where they can reward the average punters who have supported the club though thin - Maybe they could tier the pricing accordiningly in line with the loyalty program instead of just the loaded up showbags getting the gigs for these types of things all the time.
Alas Chow Cho I wont be there  :thumbsup

It had to be $350. It was orginally 5k for a table of 10 and they sacled it down. The price is fine I'd pay $500 for this event. Members should get a discount though.

The problem is that what you get for $350 isn't weighted properly.

Meals
Free grog
A set of Richo playing cards.

Not fussed at the price the club has set but surely a better package can be arranged. An exclusive signed Richo farewell memorabilia would be all required.

They will sell every ticket of the $350 variety within weeks regardless of the price. The club has done the right thing, if you can't afford it you can still attend the general area. If they made a dinner for Richo $100 they'd get 40,000 wanting to go and it'd feel meaningless and impersonal. If you want enough to go and be apart of it you'll pay $350 and it'll be worth it. If you can't afford it unfortunatly thats life, if you can't afford a seasoned reserved ticket, 2nd tier, front row, southern stand, in the forward pocket - thats just life. You'll also find that many 30-50 year old women absolutly love Jon Stevens and would pay $100 to see him on his own lol.

Benny Gales testimonial was amazing and I'll never forget it. My parents paid for me can't remember how much it was but it didn't have every man and his dog attending and was a fantastic night.

They've caterored for both walks of life. The club needs money I'll pour out $350 for a function that see's off Richo. It makes it more exclusive for the people who want to go, sure hurts the bank balance and the club finacially is better off.
