Been very good since back.Gez got to love Cotch ultimate professional he has grown into a great captain.

Cotch is a massive reason why

a) we won last years flag
b) we are currently 12-3 with no premiership hangover in sight

I can really see him becoming a Neil Balme type football manager in the future. Hopefully for us.

I’d like to say I was impressed with Brandon Ellis’ game.
I don’t like him down back I think he should only be on a wing and embrace the outside run as he can accumulate the ball and that can be used to our advantage as link player.

He needs to back himself (like Short) and kick it more instead of those crappy useless handpasses to teammates in a worse predicament.

I think if he just plays his natural game on a wing running and carrying and using his skill and pace to give us quality ball into the F50 (we need it)  That’s how I think he should be used, not as a backman but a wingman.

Who replaces him at the moment? I don’t think we have anyone ready and waiting as a wingman which I think is his position. I actually cant wait to see the end of him but I don’t know if anyone else is knocking down the door. Menadue? Not sold, he’s soft too and doesn’t impose himself nor can he find the footy. Markov? Currently injured, I have high hopes for him but is he ready to perform at the level? Currently maybe MacIntosh but he was way down on form and nowhere near the output expected.

Wasn't actually calling for him to be dropped. :shh

I'd prefer Menadue to the other Ellis sister....particularly if we drop Bolton for Stengle as it would balance out the loss of leg speed that change would cause...

Oh I can assure you I am.

If you think Bellis is made of the tough stuff you must be watching a different game to me.

As I said his netball skirt was neatly pressed last night.

Trade to GCS as part of a deal for Lynch.

Would throw in any of C Ellis, Bolton, Miles, Lloyd also.

And an obligatory pick of course...

Tom is a restricted free agent, we won't have to trade for him.

GC look likely to finish bottom 2 & will get pick 3 as compo. Far better than what we could offer up.

They could play hard ball and force a trade. They'll get a good pick or two anyway

Brandon Ellis on SEN's Crunch Time (21/07/2018)

AUDIO: https://player.whooshkaa.com/episode/?id=257564

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ellis "hurt" after being dropped after 111 consecutive games

By Nic Negrepontis
SEN
23 July 2018

Brandon Ellis had played 111 consecutive games before being omitted for the Tigers’ Round 6 clash with Collingwood.

The midfielder was an important cog in Richmond's premiership, but found himself on the outer with the rise of younger players like Jayden Short and Jack Higgins.

He spoke of how that affected him on SEN’s Crunch Time on Saturday.

“It hurt a bit, obviously playing so many games in a row. It probably didn’t cross my mind that I’d find my way out, but I did,” Ellis said.

“I had to go back and work on some contested stuff and some aerial stuff, it probably wasn’t up to scratch and probably inconsistent.

“I went back to the VFL and I did enjoy my time there playing with the young guys.

“I just put my best foot forward every game now and really can’t take my spot for granted or get too complacent.”

Ellis will likely line-up for Richmond’s clash with the Pies this time around in what is shaping as potentially the biggest game of the season.

“We’re pretty well placed at the moment, but we’ve got some tough games at the moment including Collingwood who are in fine form and then we’ve got Geelong as well,” he said.

“It’s going to be fierce competition, but we’re looking forward to it.”
