I reckon they are too cautious with players these days and restrict them to much.  As soon as they push themselves they break down

I was going to say the same - playing 1/2 a practice match in the lead up to rnd 1 seems a bit overly cautious, they've done this the past few seasons with Lids. Players need miles in their legs

With Maric out we should play Ty as the primary ruck. Can't see why he can't go up against Kreuzer. Unfortunately we'll see Hampson instead.

But we have Vickery, Griffiths, McBean Chol, Soldo and the best of the lot of em Hamspud.
As far as ruckmen goes that is god awful. It is a claytons list. That is a list of ruckmen when you dont really have a list of ruckmen..
The truth of the matter is there is in reality only
Soldo a kid who is new to the game who is probably more likely to fail than make it and we wont know for yrs to come. And HAMSPUD who was a 7 yr dud before we even drafted him, as it has panned out his performances at carlton were unfortunately a true indicator of what we were getting.

Only at richmond would you go into a yr expecting top 4 with that lot as back up to Maric. We keep saying that about most areas.
