I reckon they are too cautious with players these days and restrict them to much.  As soon as they push themselves they break down
He's only 28. He's not old. Should be able to do a full pre-season and not be managed

I was going to say the same - playing 1/2 a practice match in the lead up to rnd 1 seems a bit overly cautious, they've done this the past few seasons with Lids. Players need miles in their legs
unless of course their legs are stuffed to the point they will need constant managing for the duration of their career.

Deledios legs are stuffed?

only part of - the Achilles
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Anyone know where Miles is at?
Rumor has it he's nursing an ankle and is also in doubt for Thursday...

Will play

Reckon Hammer will star on Thursday night

Please explain your obsession with Hammer?

Seriously, you constantly endorse him but he always plays like a bag of poop.

All he needs to do is get his hand on the ball first
Was good in centre clearances against Port
No doubt with Miles back we should get first use of ball from clearances
Watched him train pre season
Make or break year
Has trained very well

The bloke had surgery on ankle and only joined in full training in February, not even close to being fit enough imo and it showed in the port game where he was still limping

Both ankles operated on and didn't resume any running till after Christmas
Over the past 3-4 has done massive loads and is right to go

Yep.
Rolled his ankle at training after the Hawthorn game and the club have been gentle on him. 100% certain to play.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick expects Tigers star Brett Deledio to be available for the team’s Round 2 clash with Collingwood on April 1.

Deledio will miss Thursday night’s season-opener against Carlton at the MCG because of a quad injury, but Hardwick maintained the complaint was not severe.

“The positive for us is it’s only like a ‘one-weeker’ . . . If the game was on Monday, he’s probably every chance of playing,” Hardwick said.

“We probably learned a little bit last year, where we pushed him to play Round 1 and he did some significant damage to his calf.

“But this is a different injury, so we’re really positive that he’ll be available for Round 2.”

Well that's just dandy, what about the other ten or so deficiencies in his game then?
