----------------------------------------------------------

Q: A few nervous moments towards the end.

A: I did. It was a really frustrating game. 70 inside 50s and the score is close is challenging. It was one of those games, conditions is tough and a lot of inside forward 50’s and rebound. If we didn’t score they would eventually find their way through. It goes to show it is a game of inches. Two important smothers where our guys put the pressure on as best they can and then they get two crucial touches. How close the season is and what it looks like.

Q: I know you said that you are not a stoppage side, you said that last week. This week you beat Carlton one of the best in the side by 10. How heavily did you approach the stoppage game and clearances?

A: The midfield group went to work. They were disappointing last time. It was their one wood and strength of their footy club. Players knew that and we knew we had to respond from the last time that we played them. You always learn a lot from the previous time that you played the side. We knee if we got that part of the game better we would be a fair chance of winning the game.

Q: Cleanliness in that first quarter, quarter-and-a-half given what the scoreboard reflected?

A: Then the rain came down make it a tough game, especially the half court game. I thought that Dion Prestia stood out really, really early and Walsh probably the same from their point of view. He had a lot. We maintained our back six and it was a real challenge who was going to give up first. Rigours of AFL who is going to cave and which guy will go six forward and which guy will go six forward and which guy will man up. It was an interesting battle.

Q: What did you make of Bolton’s mistake in the last quarter?

A: He will be accountable and responsible for it. It is certainly not part of who he is and part of what we are. We are disappointed. We will work our way through it. And support him and he will learn from lessons from it. It is not a great look.

Q: He was aware of it straight away?

A: I hope so it is not what we stand for.

Q: It looks like a few words why exchanged throughout the game.

A: Probably. But the reality is that is what footy is all about. One of the things we always want to do honour our competition and that probably goes against that. It does go against it.

Q: The pressure seemed to ebb and flow throughout the game and it seemed like you guys were able to sustain it for longer and you beat them in tackles plus-11, was that a pleasing aspect?

A: Last time our tackle efficiency was all-time, our tackle efficiency was all- time low. The disappointing thing for us we couldn’t get scoreboard reward. We dominated the inside 50 count the ball in our half for the majority of the game. Because of the way the game was played and the conditions it was really, really tough to score. Then obviously all the numbers in our half, the ball breaks a layer and all of a sudden they have a big space to work it. That’s the challenge of the game. Conditions make it really tough. Look, I thought that our guys handled it pretty well. A few nervous moments as you said.

Q: Dylan Grimes did the job tonight on Curnow.

A: He did. Tough conditions for forwards. Dylan was terrific the way he played the game quite attacking as a defender and wins crucial contests. Credit where credit is due. Vossy has them playing an admirable game of footy and they did a good job.
