maybe going down the wrong path here but i still can not work out why Castagna has not been played in defense this yr. He is exactly what we are missing when it comes to small defenders.
Lots of pace defends a player and is not afraid to take the game on. Plyed a couple of cracking games one against the dogs but had one bad game against hawks and never seen again
Personally id like to see a backline of

Grimes - Astbury - Castagna
Markov - Rance -   McIntosh

Ellis struts round like a raging mongrel but as soon as their is contested ball, he wilts like he walked in on a naked Amanda Vandstone (wearing a hat)

Hope that hat is low hanging and wide brimmed

Yep, went back with the flight quite bravely at one stage too.

Let's see what he dishes up this week.

Noticed this and was surprised/impressed.

More of the same please.

Ellis has always been far more courageous in the air than he is at ground level, hardly surprising....yes the other night was a better effort than usual but he still had a couple of panicky, squibby moments....highly unlikely that will ever change now...

Was going to say the same Dio re: courageous marking. For a squibby dude for some reason he doesn't shirk many going back with the flight
