Who is everybody's tip for the Melbourne Cup today?

I've gone for Big Duke, with Amelie's Star my lightweight 2nd choice.

Almandin won it last year but is carrying more weight this time around.
Boom Time won the Caulfield Cup.
Cismontane (#24) got a spot in the race after sentimental favourite Who Shot the Barman was scratched.
