Tigers 14-1 vs Carl, Coll & Ess over last 3 years
« on: December 11, 2017, 12:43:53 AM »
No more hoodoos left to crack after 2017  :gotigers.

It's now a few opposition clubs that see us as their bogey side.

Bris  15-1 (+ a draw)
StK    8-2
Carl   6-0
Ess    6-0
Coll   4-1
GC    4-1

We're 14-1 against the other Big 4 clubs over the past 3 years. So rub it in to your Blues, Pies & Bombers supporting mates  ;D.

What are the winning streaks and losing hoodoos to watch in 2018?

WHEN it comes to the AFL, there is no such thing as a sure thing.

Richmond proved that once and for all in 2017, going from down and out to premiers in the space of a year.

But if the Tigers can break their Grand Final hoodoo then surely Melbourne can finally enjoy a win over North Melbourne or the Gold Coast Suns can topple the Adelaide Crows.

Will 2018 be the year someone holds Josh Kennedy goalless or the year Carlton kicks over 100 points?

In the build-up to the new season, check out some of the winning streaks and losing hoodoos your club is facing in 2018.

RICHMOND

It was Round 7, 2009 when a Brisbane outfit led by Simon Black, Jonathan Brown and Daniel Bradshaw lifted the Lions to a 26-point win over the Tigers. Hopefully the Brisbane fans celebrated the win hard, because they have been waiting a while for the next one. Richmond was won 11 straight against the Lions, one of the best active win steaks in the AFL. The closest clash in that time was a 19-point Tiger victory.

The Tigers are also enjoying the good times against the Bombers and Blues (six wins each) and have seven wins in a row at the MCG.

That one loss against Collingwood was diabolical.  Should be 15-0.

To use a cricket analogy- Carlton are like the West Indies . There was a time when I couldn't imagine feeling sorry for them . Unfortunately they have been so poohouse lately all joy from beating up on them is gone .

Cmon Blues - it's getting lonely at the top  :scream :lol

Wonder if the Carlton flogs will have "Talk to us when you've won 16" banner like they did for their first match v Collingwood in 2011?

Our banner should read, "Talk to us when you've won a flag THIS century!"

Each club can stuff themselves sideways.
I offered a Crow supporter a tiger can of beer last night, said it'd be the closest thing to tasting success he'd get while Tex is captain
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I think Ramps once said on here that in the old days if we had beaten Carlton, Collingwood and Essendon it meant a Tiger premiership. Good to see times haven't changed, Ramps  :thumbsup ;D.
