Yep mixing theology with politics. Big no no.
Yep. Speaking of which, the new House speaker in the US Mike Johnson says hi. Used the podium as a pulpit for his first speech as speaker :facepalm. So much for separation of Church & State.

Of course, we also got more useless "thoughts & prayers" after their latest mass shooting  ::).

Mind you this moron believes mass shootings are due to "no-fault" divorces becoming legal, legalized abortion, and schools embracing the teaching of evolution. Conveniently, he ignores other western nations like Australia, which have a much higher non-religious population (almost a majority), don't have all these mass shootings.

Six former prime ministers of Australia have released a joint statement on the conflict between Hamas and Israel.

John Howard, Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard, Tony Abbott, Malcolm Turnbull and Scott Morrison issued the statement. That’s every living former prime minister except for Paul Keating.

Read their statement in full below.

Does anyone want to comment does the phrase/chant “from the river to the sea” relate to the destruction of Israel?

No it doesn't, generally speaking, although you can't speak for all two million of them.

It does actually -from the river Jordan to the Mediterranean sea - ie all of Isreal will be Palestine (which ironically for all the self-styled "anti-colonialists" who use it comes from a Roman name for the area.)
Interestingly the Likud Part of Israel (Netanyahu's) also has the phrase "The land is Israel from the river to the sea" enshrined  in it's constitution. :shh

They just want no occupation IMO. There's a lot of radicals but personally I don't believe the majority of them are advocating for violence or anything overly antisemitic.

I think if you took the extremists out there would be a warm majority who are content with a peaceful two state solution but unfortunately Hamas is well in control.

Getting sick of these pro Palestinian supporters, if they want to do something meaningful they should go over there and work in the aid envoys

https://www.theage.com.au/world/north-america/biden-wilfully-retained-classified-materials-but-no-criminal-charges-warranted-20240209-p5f3lt.html

Joe Biden has vigorously defended his ability to be president after a damning investigation found he mishandled classified documents and suggested he was too mentally impaired to face trial.

But in a hastily convened press conference held to convince the nation that “my memory is fine”, the US president mistakenly referred to Egypt’s leader Abdel Fattah el-Sissi as “the president of Mexico” while answering a question about the hostage negotiations in the Israel-Hamas war.
