Good news about D-Rod. I think he is doing the right thing waiting til next year. Get virtually a full pre-season under his belt then be right to go for 2006.

I could have this wrong but isn't the most famous one the guy who played in one of our first VFL premierships in the early 1920's then over summer shot himself in the foot rabbit shooting or something. First game a GF then never played footy again?
