Title: RFC Assisstant Coach: James Hird
Post by: TigerLand on August 27, 2009, 04:55:10 PM
I'd do just about anything to get this man at the club.

- Wants to start learning coaching.
- Has said he likes Richmonds list
- Been vocal about how the next Richmond Premiership coach will be exalted forever

Just teasing the idea surely..

Must be a chance with Hardwick at the helm, Premiership players together at Essendon.

Surely there is a chance.

Wouldn't think so the way he has spoken of late.

That said they would be crazy not to at least ask the man, would be a fantastic get if it happened.

Gotta think outside the square and dream the impossible.improbable

What has he said.

Heard countless times him defending Richmond on the couch.
Heard he really misses the footy club atmosphere and would love to look into coaching, but isn't ready for a Senior gig.

You would ask but Hirdy seems happy in business at Gemba. Having said that I don't reckon he'll want to coach anywhere other than his club Essendon similar to Bucks with Collingwood and Voss at Brisbane. If Knighter has a poor year next year there'll probably be cries for Hird to comeback and coach at Windy Hill.

Yeah I agree surely Hird and he's said he'd want to learn the craft away from Windy Hill to start with.

He wont just jump in, he's said he'd like to learn the ropes first.

He misses the footy scene
Has expressed a desire to one day coach
Needs an apprenticeship
Told Bucks to choose Richmond

Alot of things align.
