Edit: Threads merged. LOL at us all being so keen to post the team this week ;D

Tambo finally gets the stuff.
It's not just supporters' patience that has been wearing thin.
-
Do we have any indigenous players left in?

I'm sitting at work waiting for a lift home (5:00pm is very late for a teacher to be at work :lol )

Word on SEN is Tambling may be out due to injury although he doesn't have a "bracket" after his name.
-
King must be coming in as our tagger. Interesting Hardwick would bring King and Cousins in. Must be wanting to chalk up a win rather than just blood youth... ???

Cousins' strong push for recall

BEN COUSINS seems set to return for Richmond this weekend after completing Thursday's training session at Victoria Park.
The 31-year-old, who has missed the Tigers' last two games with a back injury, arrived late and warmed up on his own before joining his teammates.
Assistant Danny Daly said the former Eagle was a strong candidate to replace Daniel Jackson, who was suspended for three matches by the AFL tribunal for headbutting.
"That was disappointing for us losing that appeal but to replace Jacko with Cousins is pretty handy for us," he said.
Daly said he hoped Cousins could shake off a poor recent run with injury to give the Tigers much-needed experience.
"I suppose when you look at his pre-season he missed a fair bit of it through injuries," he said.
"He hasn't been able to do a full week's session over the last four or five weeks but this week he has been able to.
"Hopefully he can get a few touches out there, get a bit of confidence, pull up well from the game and he can move on from there."
This week, Richmond meets an Essendon side riding high from its win over St Kilda last week.
Daly said he didn't draw too many observations from the Bombers' performance, and that the Tigers had instead focused on their opponents' struggles in the Anzac Day loss to Collingwood.
"We're looking at who we play as an opposition team over the last four weeks rather than last week," he said.
"They are in some pretty good nick. We'll give them that but there are some areas of the game we can expose them in.
"The Collingwood game where they were pretty ordinary ... we got a few things out of that game more so than last week, to be honest."

who did you want him to put in?
-
yesterday Tambling on radio talking up the game, today out :shh
about time he gets dropped
i would stand King right next to Watson all night or that little prick Monfries.
-
Good to bring in Astbury. King has been playing well at Coburg. Think he could tag Monfries but not upto Watson. White in a forward pocket?
-
Good to see cousins is back in hopefully he plays well.

Mmmmmm, I would rather have seen Thompson in than King, sorry but again I believe we have gone in too small. If King plays in the backline with Farmer and Edwards we will get smashed, even though Edwards is playing well. Both King and Thompson deserve a go based on reports from the Coburg game I realise but King is too small for our team at the moment IMO.
Anyway thats the team, so good luck boys!!

The end for Polak?

The end for Polak?
Depends how he responds by being dropped I suppose.
-
I think he really needs to be CHB but is he terminally slow? kicking prevents him playing forward and it is probably a confidence thing but it is hardly new, where can he play?

Still would leave him forward, I actually don't think he has done too bad in his first two games back but the club see's it another way. I would like the club to give him as much opportunity this year as they can, if he gets delisted then at least they gave him a good go at it.
-
Fair point and he takes a good grab, but I think someone needs a bit of self belief or even ego to be a power forward and he strikes me as a shrinking violet and always, has a couple of straight kicks could turn that around and I am sure its in him somewhere, hope he kicks ten at coburg after his week off because he has a big heart

Yeah agree... :thumbsup

I thought Polak did enough to be retained for one more week, however he may have been dropped in attempt to match Essendon's run.
-
The end for Polak?
Regardless I doubt he will be on the list next season.
-
Agree with WA Tiger. Polak a good decoy for Jack. Can take a strong contested mark. Agree his kicking does let him down. Agree with comments may be to do with confidence. The Bombers have a small defence and his height could have proven a difficulty for them

Agree Chuck. I have no doubt if we were playing say the Saints Polak wouldn't have been dropped
-
Polak took a copy of nice grabs outside the F50 last game and took a big defender but he also missed an easy mark which resulted in a goal to the opposition (whic no one mentioned but were quick excitied to bring up when McGuane and Newman did it - go figure :shh). He did very little otherwise.
Given Essendons small quick defence and the run they get from it, dropping Polak for Astbury makes sense defensively. The Essendon defence will struggle to run off Astbury more than Polak and while Polak is bigger bodied Astbury is more agile and a cleaner kick.
I'm happy with this decision in terms of match-ups.

Think Farmer is very lucky to keep his place this week.
Thought along with Rance that he was our worst player last weekend.
