I can't understand it against a club with a good supporter base, we can't play our HOME GAME at our HOME AGROUND as against them playing an AWAY GAME at their HOME GROUND.
RFS could you please act on this? You just never know what we could have done last night :banghead

FNM, in the "draft" version of the season draw this game was scheduled for the MCG, Bulldogs game in round 2 scheduled for Etihad.
When someone from the Club leaked to Caro that Benny Gale had got the AFL to give us an extra MCG game (Bulldogs game) so we would have had a 9-2 split the AFL cracked the sads and swapped the Bulldogs game to the MCG & the Saints game to Etihad (so we ended up with 8-3 split). If the CLub had shut up and not leaked it to the media this game would have been at the MCG and we would have had 9 MCG home games in total

Pathetic.
Thanks WP

Its a farce that we play 3 @ Etihad and Collingwood only play 2.
We should have pushed to be given a changeroom at the MCG decked in Y&B like we had before the redevelopment to cement our identity there.
-
Yep Andy D sooked because the AFL wants to make a big deal about protecting the release of details of the following year's fixture and Caro's article made us look like we were boasting about getting one up on the AFL with 9 home games at the 'G. The thing is all 11 of our home games should be at the 'G ::).

We should but we don't and until we are consistently a finals side like Collingwood we will get a raw deal on the draw. We have to grin and bear it. Freo at the Dome in a few weeks and PA at the Dome in round 22 also.
-
Every club must play games at the dome. just seems a tad unfair we get our games at the other team home venue which is the bonus the afl give other clubs, do you get it now.
-
I dont agree with playing home games at Etihad at all but seeing as we have to why dont the AFL at least let us play the interstate teams there. At least its still a small advantage rather than playing someone like St Kilda.
-
Monks right, why the stuff do St.Kilda get to play an 'away' game at their home ground when it is meant to be our 'home' game and our home ground is a different venue? Someone needs to be stabbed!

but the saints fans were dwarfed by the amount of tigers there so it wasn't that bad
-
fair enough, but someone should be horsewhipped at least..or get a paper cut minimum

It's not about who has the most fans at the ground. The issue is that the Dump's dimensions suit St. Kilda's lockdown style of play. It would be easier for us to find space on the wide open expanses of the G, and exploit our running game. The AFL are gifting the Saints a huge advantage every year, and sometimes twice a year by continually fixturing our clashes at docklands, with no return fixture at our home ground.
That's without even factoring in the extra edge they give them with umpiring displays like the one we witnessed the other night. Sometimes I don't think some of our AFL-apologist fans realise what a loaded deck we are up against when they say we have to "earn" a better fixture by winning.

Have complained a couple of times over the years to Richmond - Allways get a reply however unsatisfactory that may be.
As for the Saints how freakin boring is that team, being gifted Etihad stadiums will bite the on the bum again when they have to play a 'Good' team at the G. F they are pathetic and they wont win the flag again this year 1 Flag 26 Spoons and their supporters are losers too, up yours aints (http://www.smileyhut.com/angry/fyou.gif) (http://www.smileyhut.com)

Collingwood home game v Dogs at the Dome. Means they have played the Pies twice at the dome this season, thats wrong.
Its a total shambles.
