I think we escaped with no more injuries tonight.
Any changes to the team tonight for next week?
-
INS:- Scully
-
Out Miller
In Play with 21
-
Webberley and Post didn't do much.
I thought Hislop looked ok, wasn't out there long but slotted in to the game nicely.
Maybe Post out - Batchelor in
-
I'd leave the team the same.
Depending on how we line up against the Dees. We subbed off Post cause Clarke went off and we were too tall in defence. Might make sense to keep Post if we need a 3rd tall in defence.
-
post gives us a bit of flexibility should we lose a tall to injury , he did alright
-

Hislop is a waste of time and energy. No good. Not AFL standard. Send him
back to Essendon.

Yep the only explanation for mine as to why Post was taken off as Webberley had just 2 possies when Hislop came on.
-
Farmer soft handball to a bloke about to get crunched was pee poor and allowed the lions to get all the early run.
Gourdis ahead of miller.
-
Miller won't be dropped. He may even have inside info on Melbourne. :thumbsup
That's not to say I don't think he should be dropped. He should have been dropped after the Port game.
Would like to see Webberley stay in. Same with Post showed some composure under pressure at times even though he can go missing. Play the kid for the next 5 or 6 weeks and see how he goes. Let the kid get some confidence at this level.
Right now team unchanged for next week.
-
Can't agree with the anti-Miller proponents. He was very important to the way our forward took control in the middle of the game.
-
Agree Smokey.
If Miller was our worst last night ill jump up and stay up.
-

also gave us a chop out in the ruck
-
good to see some have the anti miller blinkers off. He provides important structure to the forward line.
-
He might do, al...but he's not apart of the future. If there's a kid performing in the twos then Miller comes out no matter how well he's playing. The kids come first.
-
for sure, JT. He is only a stop gap measure.
-

Agreed Miller is playing his role. Taking some strong marks also.
-
Miller can't run or jump but he's doing ok for now. Hope Morton and Griffiths force Miller and Hislop out in the next week or two
-
I have no problem with Matt White coming back into the team at the expense of Hislop.
-
outs could be Webberley or Farmer.
Ins , who knows
-
i dont think Farmer will get dropped, is well regarded by the match committee.
I would say no change
-
Only change for me would be Hislop starting and somebody else as the sub. Farmer, Conca or Webberly maybe.
-
IN.. White, Tuck
Out..Weberly, Hislop
Maybe Goudis for Post? Put him at CHF on Watts....
-
How long will we keep overlooking Gourdis?
-
Will Batchelor come back in?
-
Let's drop Miller.
-
What should I cook for dinner?
-
Mexican?
-
hislop wont get dropped he's had about 30min game time ea time and had 6 or so possies both weeks...i expect him to get a start next time
-

Certainly did, have to say it was a smart move considering how good Vickery was going up forward - he and Jack clicked as a forward team last night. Made sense to have Miller pinch hit in the ruck... surprsied we haven't done it more often to be honest
Would say NO CHANGES

It's bleedin' obvious:
IN: GOURDIS
OUT:McGUANE
The Goo will run and create out of the backline. All this talk of his kicking being questionable is rubbish.McGuane's skills are sub-par as is his ability to pick up the ball cleanly. And his first instinct is to retreat back towards goal. The Goo would be a MASSIVE upgrade. Make it happen Dimma.

faster. Taller. Younger. Stronger...
Give the goo a chance.

Out: McGuane (delist), Webberley (delist)

Anyone think Concs needs a rest?
Yes I think he is looking a little tired, might be a good idea.
-
OMG Kingy just got 1 week for his stoush with Mcgrath :banghead Netball clubs will be taken football clubs over in 5 years cause no-one wants to play a girls game
-
thanks Uncle pedo
Anyone think Concs needs a rest?
I said that last week, but NOOOO, you had to be Quade :banghead
-
thanks Uncle pedo
Anyone think Concs needs a rest?
NOPE
-
Mcguane out (concussion) when mcguane says to dimma "I'm not concussed" dimma needs to short arm jab him to the bridge of his nose and say "now you are"
Webberley to be out due to "poo" with indefinite next to his name on weeks out on injury list
-
King out suspended.
Gourdis in.
-
Now that Jake's been done for defending himself against a sniper >:(
OUT: King
IN: Batchelor (if fit) or Tuck
-
I said that last week, but NOOOO, you had to be Quade :banghead
yeah but a week is a long time in football, i'm fickle, and i love stealing other people's opinions and claiming them as my own
personally i think Concs can play out the season, all this talk of resting him is bollocks
-
Now that Jake's been done for defending himself against a sniper >:(
OUT: King
IN: Batchelor (if fit) or Tuck
Tuck in yes, if we are playing for now, Gourdis in if we want to see what he offers for the future. Unfortunately Tuck has not been in favor since the start of the season, why play him now.

Herald-Sun footy barometer - RICHMOND
SUSPENDED: Jake King has been given an extension on deciding whether to challenge his one-match ban.
ON THE BLOCK: Jake King has been granted a 24-hour extension to appeal his one-week ban for striking Brisbane's Ash McGrath.
ON THE CUSP: David Gourdis, Angus Graham, Shane Tuck and Ben Nason.
MICK WARNER'S FORECAST: Nason or Tuck are likely to come in for King if he accepts a one-game suspension. Key defender David Gourdis shut down Brendan Fevola in Coburg's upset win over Casey and picked up 20 possessions. Shane Tuck, ruckman Angus Graham and youngster Brad Helbig also impressed in the VFL. Matt White played well but was injured late in the game. Mitch Morton was solid game in his comeback.

RICHMOND - In the Mix
The Tigers play a home game at the MCG against Melbourne on Saturday afternoon after three weeks on the road. David Gourdis continued to push his case for a senior recall with a best on ground performance for Coburg in the win against Casey with Matt White (who suffered an injury late in the game), Shane Tuck and Angus Graham also named in the best players. Coach Damien Hardwick looks set to make at least one change to the team that defeated the Brisbane Lions after Jake King ran foul of the match review panel for striking Ash McGrath.

Stop it WP... :lol..We are playing for 14th.. :thumbsup

IMHO Tuck should have been played from round one, he also should of played in the games that we only just lost and he didn't. His form for Coburg suggested many times that he should have been selected to play more than he has.
Unfortunately he has been on the outer since the start of the season, if we wnated to win games earlier rather than blood youth, he should of played. So why play him now when we are over half way through the season??? He won't be there next year.
IMO play Gourdis and lets see what he has to offer.

Out(In)

Gourdis would be a better ruck option than miller.
Superior athletic ruck

Agreed. Need to beat Melbourne no matter where we end up at seasons end.
