From RFC twitter:
"80's MEDIA ALERT: Michael Roach on the @marngrook Footy Show tonight from 7:30PM on #ABC2"

Disco on now.

Disco made the point others here have made that in the past other clubs weren't interested in wanting our players whereas now they'd love to have 6 or 7 of the current crop. Roachy also said it's good to go to the footy now to watch the Tigers play. Too true :thumbsup.
For us oldies Roachy spoke about he and BT (who got on well) and how we couldn't get both of them in the one forward line to work. Also spoke about how after 1980 we were expected to dominate the 80s yet after another GF in 1982 it didn't happen and he finished up only playing in two finals series.

Sad that blokes who came to the club I guess around the time of Roachy(1976) only really had two or three finals series to strut their stuff on the big stage. Jim Jess is another and so is Weightman.
I know Jimmy Jess played in the 1977 finals series.
Childhood hero of mine. Roachy is Richmond through and through. :thumbsup

As an aside - Shane Howard from 80s band Goanna (had the hit 'Solid Rock') was on the show last night performing and said he's a Tigers man.
