Richmond is rallying the troops for this Saturday’s big clash with arch-rival Carlton at the MCG.
The Tigers are dedicating the Round 15 match to the Fighting Tiger Fund - their bold fundraising program, which aims to eradicate the Club’s debt and also generate the necessary financial support to ensure a heavy investment in football department expenditure.
Given the impact the ‘Tiger Army’ has already had at Richmond games this season, the Club is hoping to turn the ‘G into a sea of Yellow and Black, which, in return, would provide both the team and the Fighting Tiger Fund with a significant boost.
Click to watch our special video, and we look forward to seeing you at the ‘G on Saturday . . .

Relton Roberts.

Relton Roberts.
Judging by the size of him, he was both the 18th and the 19th man.

Have a big fear the same old deer in head lights could occur, pumped up big game and we go into our shell.
One of the biggest reasons I think this is the case is first use. Very hard to win stoppages when you win little if any taps to advantage.
-
theres a bit too much "you are our 19th man" PR stuff coming from the club. Id prefer they just concentrate on making sure we just win some games.

The mighty support Richmond receives from its “19th man” - the Tiger Army - is reflected in the crowd figures after 14 rounds of the 2011 season . . .
In seven home games to date, the Tigers have attracted a combined attendance figure of 332,916, at an average of 47,559 per game.
They are ranked No. 2 in the competition for home-game totals (behind Carlton), and No. 4 overall for average home crowds (behind Collingwood, Carlton and Essendon).
For the entire 2010 season, Richmond’s home-game total crowd figure was 411,969, at an average of 37,452 per game.
Admittedly, the 2011 home-game totals are slightly distorted, given the fact Collingwood has played only six home games, compared to Richmond and Carlton’s seven. Nevertheless, the figures are extremely good, and speak volumes for the strong backing provided by the Tiger Army.

19th man means SFA. Wheres Collingwoods 19th man each time they play interstate and perform well.
Make the finals and your FTF will receive 10k more members. Losses like the last month sets you back yet again.

Yeah I'm a bit sick of this 19th man dribble as well.
My pocket can only hold so much pee. Time to find a new hook RFC.

The club has gone on a tweet spree this morning - Dusty, Postie and Farmer have all the tweeted the same comment.
"massive game this week. We need the Tigers' 19th man to get to the G and make some noise. Check this vid - http://t.co/1qdEQRJ"
-
The boys shouldn't worry about us turning up. As long as they do with hard, high intensity team footy.

yep how about winning some stuffing contested ball

It's Carlton and we hate their guts.
If we win it will be so sweet.
That's enough to get me through the gates.
