Newy pinged for looking back and that's classed as a block. Even if you hold your ground if you look back then it's classed as your intent is on the player and not the ball.
Rance pinged for holding Stefan Martin's right arm down. The vision is on the wrong side to see it (ump was in a position to see it).

whats wrong with todays football is they taking the contest out of it. Every player looks back to view his opponant before the contest.
football is in full damage mode by Demetriou, Anderson, stuff, Geishien. & several umpires can go with them.

Does he think he is stuffing Luke Skywalker pulling some bullsh!t Jedi mind trick on us or something? Newman tackled him without the ball with his powerful gaze... And, Rance used the other players arm to tackle himself or something... now I have stuffing heard it all, pardon me while I finishing feeding my unicorn. If Geischen is run over by a truck, I will consider it a boon to our game.

Yes thats correct l do. l see some deplorable decisions by umpires against Richmond for many years. But the same umpires having clear view & in the correct position call many times the wrong decision for the same incident. We always get raped at the tribunal as well for years
Just to sum this up, was watching Greg Williams ( former VFL/AFL Brownlow Medalist) talking in a interview last night. he clearly said umpires were against him & l beleive there are 2 in the system now that hate Richmond. l know Fact that Geishein hates Richmond & have heard it come from his own mouth.

Both were 50/50's and if umpires had any semblance of common sense ,they would be play on calls.

I suggest we take up a collection to send Chris "the Basilisk" Newman some special sunglasses so he doesn't assault anyone again with dirty looks, sly glances or hard stares costing our team free kicks.

Tigermonk, can you please elaborate on this? I have suspected for a long time that as a sacked Richmond coach,Geischen has an axe to grind against the club. I'm intrigued as to what you may have privately heard him say.

I went back to the tape and watched the Newman one again to make sure I'm right and he looks for Watt, moves back into him, puts his hands out in a shepherding pose and holds him from the drop of the ball.
The only way it could have been more obvious is if he held a crook and had a herd of sheep with him.
The Rance one was clearly incorrect.

Heard commentator on ABC describe the umpiring particularly the ruck infringements against richmond as poor. He basically said Jamar was getting away with murder. Agree with comments about the Tribunal. Giesch was sacked by Richmond of course he is going to hold a grudge. Wake up AFL sack him as he is clearly not impartial.

I totally forgot about the ruck!! WTF was going on??? Jamar was climbing all over him and yet for some reason Melbourne would end up with free kicks. I actually gave up worrying about it because it happened so often. And all the off the ball interference and ball chucking clearances, unpaid tackles they got away with ...ok now im angering up my blood again.

Jamar was all over Browne ALL DAY. Alot of holding going on during the boundary throw Ins too.
