Cats have stepped up the pressure and are on top in general play at the moment.
-
Stupid over-handballing causes a turnover. Gus gives away a free and then Farmer kicks the ball away and gives away 50m :banghead. Luckily the Cats players misses.
Coburg get it forward finally yet Jordon 10m in the clear inside 50 is half-sleep and gets run down.
Geelong then implode and turn it over straight away. Miller with a shot on the boundary and it's rushed.

Coburg Report
richmondfc.com.au
By Tony Greenberg
Tue 19 Jul, 2011
Development coach, David Newett, provides a summary of how the Richmond-listed players performed at VFL level with Coburg against Geelong last Saturday.
Ben Nason
Had a different role and worked his way into the game well, finishing with 16 touches. Was dangerous at times in front of goal.
Angus Graham
An inconsistent performance. Produced some very good second and third efforts, along with strong aerial contests, but failed to impact on other occasions. His tally of 32 hit-outs was a good result against quality opposition.
Mitch Morton
Controlled his wing for the majority of the match, pushing hard defensively and then working down with the ball. Was efficient with his disposal and finished the game with 28 possessions in another solid display.
Ben Jakobi
Started slowly, but really got going in the third quarter with strong defensive play and attacking ball use off half-back. Was slightly down, overall, on his form of previous weeks, but continues to develop as a rebounding defender.
Brad Miller
Dominant performance from the experienced key forward. Provided strong contests, led very well to take 10 marks, and capped off his work with five goals.
Jamie O’Reilly
Another solid game in defence, restricting opponents’ impact. Provided his customary rebound, but made some uncharacteristic errors with his disposal.
Jeromey Webberley
Started well winning a fair bit of the ball, but faded out of the game and didn’t have his usual offensive impact. Will be determined to bounce back this week.
David Gourdis
Had a great battle with experienced Geelong forward Cam Mooney and, although he conceded four goals, was still solid defensively. Continues to improve with his skill development and his composure when in possession.
Mitch Farmer
Again was solid in defence, gathering 21 possessions and providing some good run off half-back. Strength over the football and ability to win contests were features of his game.
Dean MacDonald
Started well, applying some good pressure. Had some involvement in the game later on, but limited impact.
Jayden Post
Took eight marks, including one ‘screamer’ and finished with 15 possessions. Had a strong impact at times, but not on a consistent basis. Worked hard to provide a good contest around the ground and relieved in the ruck when required.
Tom Hislop
Again was hard at the contests and his work rate was good. Blemished an otherwise good game, however, with some ordinary conversion and disposal.
Matt Dea
Returned from a lengthy injury lay-off and played his allotted game time without incident. Showed good signs defensively, as well as offensively, and will look to have an impact in the remaining games this season.
Robbie Hicks (Coburg reserves)
Played his best game for a while in the reserves through the midfield. Provided very good run and carry, finishing with 28 possessions and three goals.
Pat Contin (Coburg reserves)
Again was a standout performer for the reserves team, competing strongly around the contest and linking up well on transition. Was on target for another 30-possession-plus game until he was knocked out in a sickening collision.

Round 16 Match Reports
Coburg Tigers website
SENIORS
1st Quarter
We started off brilliantly with Brad Miller being a focal target up forward. He kicked the first 2 goals within the first 6 minutes.
Morton was giving us good drive off half back and wing.
The pressure from both teams caused a lot of turnovers.
Miller then assisted in a goal to Dean Macdonald and Carnell took a strong mark to add another goal.
Ben Clifton then received a free from a centre ball up and passed quickly out to Post who then delivered to Miller for his 3rd goal of the quarter.
Willie Wheeler was important and Webberley delivered the ball inside 50 on a several occasion.
Geelong could only kick 1 goal through Mooney.
Coburg:5.3-35 Geelong:1.1.7
2nd Quarter
Once again it was a quarter that resulted in turnovers from both sides.
Dave Gourdis was solid stopping several forward entries and took 7 telling marks and his pace generated quick rebound.
Mitch Farmer was also important .
Willie Wheeler continued on from his good first quarter form.
There were 2 x 50m penalties against us that both resulted in goals to Geelong.
Post assisted carnell in a goal and then first gamer Kayne Murphy showed good vision spotting up Ben Nason for another.
Shannon Byrnes kicked his 2nd goal of the quarter to keep Geelong in touch with us.
Coburg:7.5-47 Geelong:4.4-28
3rd Quarter
Damien Rayson was important with his rebound 50’s and also had several I50 entries. He also assisted in a goal to Mitch Morton.
Geelong put us under continued pressure with their press causing us to rush our possessions.
We had good ball movement starting from the backline but the ball was turned over inside our 50.
Miller kicked a steadying goal (4th)at the 28 minute mark after Geelong had kicked 3,but the good work was partially undone when Schroder marked and goaled right on the 3 quarter time siren.
Coburg:9.8-62 Geelong: 8.9-57
4th Quarter
We were totally over run in the final quarter.Again there were 2 x 50m penalties that resulted in goals and a few other undisciplined acts that we have to get out of our game.
Willie Wheeler after a quiet 3rd quarter, came back into the game and tried hard to keep us in the game.
Brad Miller put through his 5th goal and he also was a vital player for us and straightened us up.
We had our chances to take the win but inaccuracy meant it was not to be.
Nick Carnell kicked his 3rd after a contested mark from a Morton I50 entry.
Ben Clifton snapped a goal from a forward stoppage but we ran out of time and went down by 15 points.
Goal Kickers: Miller 5,Carnell 3,Morton,Clifton,Nason,Macdonald
Best: Wheeler ,Power, Morton, Farmer, Rayson.
Development:
Based on ladder positions ,we would have expected to win this game but once again Sandringham fielded a team that boasted senior players that played 57 senior games, as their senior team had the bye.
In the end we only had 1 fit player on the bench and massive credit goes to the players to stick it out and fight off fatigue to register the win.
Rowan Hore who was dropped from the senior team showed great attitude and clearly was our best player. The same can be said for Leigh Masters who was very unlucky to be demoted and it was his best game for the club in his short time here. Both will put pressure on us at Match Committee.
Coburg: 4.2 9.7 11.9 12.14 (86)
Sandringham: 3.2 3.3 6.8 10.13 (73)
