Please!
The article said matty white had amixed bag this season yet praised him for his speed, what about lack of descision making.
Still have nightmare of big Xman dropping that sitter in Cairns
And as for mcguane, well he didn't make the Cut as an extra on a zombie flick.
I'm happy for them to have one more season to prove themselves at the least.
I also heard jackos in the running for captaincy :shh

Agreed to contracts hey
Like they had a choice. "Take the remainder of our salary cap or you'll be sent back to Mirboo north/Peel Thunder/golden square" lawl
-
1 year contracts on minimal coin. Will be next in line come end of 2013 unless a miracle happens.
-
We ll have 4 draftees + a couple of rookies, a bit of experience is needed to balance the depth..all coming together :clapping

joke joke joke
and as for mattys speed , he has lost a few yards

RICHMOND trio Luke McGuane, Tom Derickx and Matt White have signed new one-year deals to remain at the club in 2013.
The signings come as the club's first list lodgment is due with the AFL on Wednesday.
McGuane's return to form at the end of the season was rewarded with a deal to take him into his eighth AFL season.
The 25-year-old didn't break into the senior side until round 15, but didn't lose his spot thereafter. He was used in a forward role, and booted 15 goals in his nine games.
White played seven games for the season, while Derickx made his AFL debut in round 15 against Melbourne and played again the next week in Richmond's loss to the Gold Coast.
But after Angus Graham's departure from the Tigers to Adelaide through the Gillette AFL Trade Period, Derickx's hold on the back-up ruckman's position grew stronger.
The new deals come on the back of the Tigers delisting key position player Jayden Post on Monday.
The 22-year-old played 30 games for the Tigers in four seasons.

White is always in the best at coburg.
Derixkx is required given the lack.of players his size on the list.
Mcgaube is very lucky we lack quantity kpp. More so post post.
-
All in this group of players can consider themselves very lucky particularly Derrickx. Best seasons required of them next year otherwise delist them
-
If anything Derickx was the one most likely to stay given our ruck options and yes that sitter in Cairns still haunts me.
White should have been delisted plain and simple 7 years is way too much for a bloke of his ability.
McGuane is merely a depth player at Coburg.
If anything the club is thinking of the RFC reserves side in 2014 retaining White and McGuane.
We cannot get rid of all these blokes at once 11 players have retired or delisted. I think a few retirees have saved these blokes bacon.
First on the chopping block this time next year.
-
We have to delist 3 minimum each year anyway so we already have the prime suspects for next year.....oh and Jacko can be retired to an admin job at the club.
-
No club thinks of the reserve team when determining whether a player stays or goes. Its all built around playing senior football period

Why not Gigantor we were thinking of picking up Rodan with an eye of placing him on the rookie list or so was the rumour.
Good reserves players are McGuane and White. Not upto scratch for senior footy but as I said we can't delist them all in one hit.
-
I understand your point tucker,I just think that if a player has no senior potential clubs are loathe to keep them on the list, unless of course they are there to coach or show by example the youngsters.
In the case of the 3 we are discussing ,i agree their longevity seems probable, however at this point they are senior players ,until someone(draftee) comes along and goes boot
-
all three are lucky - Derickx is lucky he's big & the fact that he was injured after showing "some potential" probably enhanced his luck...Mc Guane was lucky that he showed some glimpses forward - can't be anything more than depth although if Booze Hound Edwards continues getting locked up then McG might get more opportunities...White is just plain lucky full stop - had ample opportunities and seasons and apart from an occasional burst isn't up to it, better known for being quick & sprinting to the bench...
but agree that you can't delist all the deadwood at once....all three need big 2013's or gone (if things go to plan then younger guys should keep all three from getting games)
-
Depending on the type of players we draft and whether a few of our mids/HFF/HBF or KPP'S like Astbury or Griffiths come along and further develop these three might be goneski's this time next year. In White and McGuane's case about time too.
-
Two words - list cloggers. How McGuane with all his onfield brainfades is still on our list for what will be his 9th season is mindboggling! Coburg will be happy though.
-
Tactically this would be a spur by the club to show these boys that they need to produce something to stay.
- White & McGuane have been around for years - cannot cement spots and the both go missing against good teams
- Derickx is in his 3rd year now - so its make or break. Needs to have an impact or go back to WA
