According to the AFL website, both McGuane and Astbury are out injured (leg) rather than dropped.

With those outs it would suggest its Dea and A. Edwards as replacements, am guessing some late changes.

Hmmm soreness?

IMO 2 weeks out from the finals and those blokes have only just come into the AFL side , need exposure at that level so I don't think you'd be resting them because of soreness

 Obviously Petterd's hamstring is OK.

Surely Riewoldt will not play and A.Edwards will come in.

Don't plan to go into finals with them perhaps?

Good to see King, White and S Edwards back in. Is this Dea's last game to prove himself?

Bingo  :thumbsup

IMHO now that Grimes is back Astbury drops out of calculations. Dont' think we can have Chaplin, Rance, Grimes and Astbury down back together makes us too big. Only need three tall back IMHO

A better team balance (3 tall defenders as opposed to 4) this week and more linebreakers into the side that we missed big time last week.

No talls in the emergencies so Jack must be playing.

Dont think Petterd will play so if he doesn't they'd bring in Dea or Tuck I suppose

I have watched matty dea several times in the magoos this year and although he seems above that level,i have some serious questions, not sure if he can cut the mustard at this point in time.

Agree but just think if Petterd doesn't play like for like means Dea gets the gig

Batch, Dea, Helbig Petterd.....simply can't hit a target often enough, so don't expect them to be part of the future

If we have given Astbury and Griffiths 4 years surely we can afford Batch the same time given he is not injured regularly like the other two blokes and many on here have agreed that he has played some really good footy for us. I still have the belief Batch will be a very good player for us. Right now he is a forgotten man. :thumbsup

Astbury and Griff are at the crossroads and possibly Helbig given his injuries too.

Batch needs to show something in the two's first because he has shown bugger all in the firsts when given the opportunity.

This season in what is left of it WAT. He has been very good in his first two seasons. Has shown more than Astbury and Griff TBH in his 3 seasons at the club.

Yep, don't have a problem keeping him, just cant play him now that's all, I don't think he has deserved it...they may even trade him..who knows.
