Title: Where is the best position to finish?
Post by: MintOnLamb on August 26, 2013, 02:53:16 PM
If we finish 5th we will probably play Carlton, 6th we will probably play Port as a home game, I would rather play Port than Carlton. Is it so bad if we lose against Ess?
So what is our best option here?
also if we finish 5th do we play at the G?
If we finish 6th do we play at the G?
If we finish 7th do we play at the G?

Mind you it would be very sweet to beat Carlton
( I am assuming Ess does not play finals?)

We should have high expectations of winning our first final regardless of opposition.

I think we'd all rather play Port at home but let's not forget they made the eight on merit. Carlton are actually a really ****ing ordinary outfit. If we're worth our salt we beat them easily.
Dropping this week's game to the onfield rabble that is Essendon would mean we've hit the finals in no form whatsoever. Losses to poxy Carlton and Essendon and a win against the GWS babies doesn't instill me with much confidence for week 1 of the finals.

As for your other question , we'll be playing at the G I think. The AFL is trying to swing a deal now to have two Saturday games there. Starting at 1pm and 8pm

Don't care, would like the challenge of facing Nought or the cheats, but I actually think Adelaide will squeeze in.

Yep , they're a big chance. West Coast are horrible atm. A five or 6 goal win coupled with a Carlton loss by the same margin , Coll beat North and the Crows are in.  All very possible.

5th on merit and just beat whoever finishes in 8th regardless of who they are.

Agree with this. I want to play Port but I want to slap the Bummers this week and cheer off their gimp fans.  :shh
