I can't see the article either but what is it that Dimma thinks we are ready to deliver? A flag? Top 4? 8th? Win a final?
How have we improved our list so much?

Depth of Richmond list excites coach Damien Hardwick

DAMIEN Hardwick has assured impatient fans Richmond has the list to compete next year after rounding out its off-season haul on Tuesday.
The Tigers have lost three consecutive elimination finals and did not land the big fish they were after during trade period despite repeated efforts.
But Richmond’s level of comfort with its list build was indicated by the selection of small forward Daniel Rioli, who could take several years to flourish.
Hardwick told the Herald Sun the Tigers had made massive list gains in the past two years despite some external perceptions.
“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.
“The big thing with our list strategy is we had a really good draft last year.
“So those players will come on this year. Corey Ellis didn’t play a lot, Connor Menadue, Nathan Drummond will come through.
“Then we added Chris Yarran as a ready-made player and Andrew Moore and Jacob Townsend. We are pretty happy with our build over 24 months.”
Hardwick said his contract situation was no distraction despite club legend Kevin Bartlett urging Richmond to re-sign him past the 2015 season.
“I was in Bali. I saw a couple of things (on the internet) but that sort of thing is taken care of in due course. We have just got to concentrate on winning footy games.”
He is aware fans are frustrated by the lack of finals wins — he is yet to salute in September as a coach — but said they should put the most recent loss into perspective.
“We were disappointed with the result last year, it was unexpected, but we played a really good footy club in North Melbourne who went on and beat Sydney up in Sydney,’’ he said.
“They were a real form team of the competition. But we are looking to improve again and I have got no doubt we will with the talent we have pulled in and a couple of bits of game style we are working on over the summer.”
Richmond secured 22-year-old WAFL defender Nathan Broad with pick 67, and Hardwick has declared every defensive position open for Round 1.
David Astbury’s trade to Brisbane was aborted late, Todd Elton is pushing hard, and Broad could be in contention for an early debut.
“Nathan is 22 and he was outstanding for his WAFL club. He offers an element of speed and could play on a wing. He is similar to Jake Batchelor or Dylan Grimes — he can play tall or small.
“He is a player who if he gets a good chunk of the pre-season under his belt he can play early
“We are really pleased (Astbury) stayed. We had a really solid back six last year and didn’t have one injury.
“He realises how important he is to the future and we expect him to have a really good season. Those positions are up for grabs.”

Now for the RCGG....this is what Damien Harwick the RFC Coach has said and I quote;
“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.
So next year if we play like poo, the same players are poo and we lose another final, if we make it. DO NOT have a go at those of us that hold him accountable for his comments!!!!! He has said it now so lets see him put his money where his mouth is!!!! RCGG you have been warned!!!!

What's he going to say? "We have to keep Astbury now because no other team wanted him but don't worry we don't rate him and the back 6 are set in stone. He won't even get a gig as depth although we are severely lacking in KPD's"

just call me big kev

Exactly. Well said
-
Seriously why doesn't he just get on with it. This reeks of the "big fish" and "war chest" comments and we all know how that ended up. I wouldn't care if he came out and said... Yeah look ;D...we are happy with the youngsters we have picked up and we will develop them through the preseason, after that who ever puts their hand up for round one will be selected regardless of tenure to date.
But oh no, he is already taking finals in one way or another... >:(
-
dont know what the problem is, he has put his head on the chopping block.
Failure is now down to either a bad run of injuries or the coach not being good enough.
-
Well what do you want him to say?
At least he is upbeat.

RCGG!!!! I said what I wanted him to say, instead of the waffle, or cant you see that past the glasses??

Gee wiz. Put's his head on the block and that's not good enough? Talk about HEGG

Yeah and then no accountability, all the excuses under the sun will come out and the RCGG will accept it...AGAIN!!!!
-
ok then......
-
What a idiot.
-
Dead man walking
-
Lmao@putting his head on the block.
He finally shows a tad of accountability and its on the eve of his sacking season after repeated failure.
I heard Paul Roos say that his mission was to get MELBOURNE to be competitive at worst and this fool is rolling out the rhetoric, five seasons in to his failed coaching career.
stuff off Hardwick.
You will never coach a successful finals team.
-
Nothing new here. We heard similar comments at the end of 13 and 14 there was no accountability then and like the end of 2015 there wont be accountability at the end of next year.
Locked and loaded people just ask Dimma. lol.
-
Well what do you want him to say?
Nothing.
The same as he's done.
-
Gotta admire the club with the way it deflects things. Like a lot of posters on here the goal posts just keep on getting moved to suit. This blokes head should have been on the chopping block instead the talk is about contract extensions.
The bar was clearly set at the end of last year yet come the end of this yr the bar is reset.Either we have KPIS for everyone or we dont have them at all.
-
Yeah but the media was doing pressure.... Or potentially
Omg
