Don’t read all about it: stories your club doesn’t want repeated next season
News Corp Australia
22 December 2015
HISTORY never repeats ... at least the AFL clubs hope so.
From injuries to star players to finals fade outs, these are the headlines you club doesn’t want repeated in 2016.
What don’t you want to see next season?
RICHMOND
Headline: Tigers knocked out in first week
It’s the obvious one for Richmond but losing three elimination finals in a row is bad enough and a fourth would nearly be unbelievable, particularly when in two of the three the Tigers were in winning positions. Equally as important is Damien Hardwick’s ability to get his team firing and playing good football early in the season. The Tigers can’t afford to once again be playing catch up after losing four of their first six games as they did in 2015 or six of their first eight like in 2014. How could the Tigers come back if it were to happen again?
