Is this an omen for the year?
The Pittsburgh Steelers (whose colours are yellow and black) won the Super Bowl today after a 26 year old drought.
Well we can dream can't we lol.

They came from nowhere too. Just scrapped into the finals/playoffs then won three away finals against more fancied rivals on the way to the Super Bowl. Like I said we can dream the Tiges do the same ;D.

Got nothing to do with Richmond, but for memory Carlton won in 1981 (and thank god they didn't win last year ;D). But i got this email a while back and just posting because why not. I'm assuming Liverpool won soccer (wouldn't have a clue lol)
Interesting Year 1981
1. Prince Charles got married
2. Liverpool crowned soccer Champions of Europe
3. Australia lost the Ashes tournament.
4. Pope Died
Year 2005
1. Prince Charles got married
2. Liverpool crowned soccer Champions of Europe
3. Australia lost the Ashes tournament
4. Pope Died

Which Pope died in 1981?? JP1 died in 1978 and JP2 took over until he died last year. I know a Pope's funeral can drag on....but for 3 years???
So with that little correction, we are safe from having to endure a Blues premiership victory!

That's okay Moi. I knew you were only the messenger. I just stuff out at the possibility of Carlton taking out a premiership before we do! ;D

I think the person who did that email was thinking of the pope being shot in a attempted assasination in 1981. Anyway I think we are safe from Carlton winning the flag this year :thumbsup.
