Title: How do we rate Simmo's year so far?
Post by: one-eyed on April 18, 2006, 10:39:15 PM
According to prostats he is the number one ruckman in the AFL with respect to total hitouts (21.7 - equal with Cox) and centre bounce hitouts - Link (http://www.prowess-sports.com/pro-stats/reports/player_category_leaders.pdf).

The Big Knob is available this week too, hard for Simmo to give way with stats like that

Hopefully he can go forward and kick a bag

Simmo stated preseason that this was his year   and so far hes shown the way  more accurate kicking would make him a better player  but 4/4 efforts are all 100%

'Right' but we don't need simmo to be like tuck & cogs, (stuffed halfway through the season in 2005) .

He needs Knobel in there with him to share the load and keep the pressure up on the opposing ruckman.

Agree Mopsy. Simmo was with the rehab group at training yesterday. Hopefully it was just a precaution and he's not already feeling the affects of the heavy workload in the ruck after just 3 rounds  :-\.
