Krak doesnt deserve to be in the team. It is a disgrace he is getting a game.

I'm with you there Bull
-
If you had seen him today at training Mopsy, you would have thought he had been told he wasnt playing.
-
Jackson is a fraction stiff. Okay he hasn't done alot in the games so far but he's been handy in bursts at FF in the forward rotations.
I would have have preferred Krakouer at Coburg to show he can win some footy consistently over a few games and earn a recall while the rest of the senior side was left unchanged bar Hughes coming in.

I really do struggle with the selection decisions at times :-\
I mean I happy to see Cleve get a game but wonder how it can be of any benefit to play Pattison one week drop him the next :help
I reckon Jackson is very unlucky
As I said I don't get it :help

Perhaps they are trying to maintain some trade value :lol
-
i have a feeling krak will kick arse tomorrow night
-
I agree with the other contributors- Krak doesn't deserve a game at the moment. Jackson looks more dangerous in the forward line than Krakouer has for the last season and a bit.
Having said that, I hope your right X. But as The Bull has been saying- how can he learn anything after one week in the ressies.
-
Disappointed Patto and Jacko got dropped :banghead
-
i have a feeling krak will kick behind tomorrow night
The only reason I can think of as to why Krak's got a game is he kicked behind in the corresponding game last year. 5 goals straight.

he was also named and meant to play last week but due to balance and structure was dropped. he will go ok, just cos one may appear lazy does not mean he is. take joel bowden for instance, looks as lazy as hell but we know he isnt. whenever a player can make the hard things look easy , then the normal things appear lazy. im prepared to give krak the benefit of doubt, and hope this year he steps up a notch. its just round 4.
what amazes me, is players like tivendale. i have watched every replay since getting back from italy, and dont understand why so many supporters are rating his games this year. his poor kicking and decision making have influenced many bad trends and losses, esp in perth! he still stuffs up and its contagious.
at least when krak gets hold of the ball he uses it with perfection
-
Come off it X, you are kidding yourself.
Krak is lazy and that is fact.
How long has he been at the club for now? He still doesnt have enough stamina to run in the midfield, coz he is lazy and isnt prepared to work hard enough to increase his stamina. FACT
He also refused to tackle at training yesterday as i reported and was pathetic.
As for Tivendale, i have been one of the first to lay the boots into him over the last few years but he has been one of our best players this season. He is currently leading the league for inside 50's and is running hard, finding space and setting up many forward movements. Sure he still turns it over at times but most of our players do.
I hope Krak does come out and kick 5 goals tonight, but i can bet my balls if he does that he wont get a touch for atleast the next 5-6 weeks.
-
the only ppl who really know how hard he trains is himself and the coach. i can say the same thing about many of our list, how many on our list can really run a game out, not many. lets just sit back and watch him this yr, if he continues to not do what he is emplyed to do, fine send him off, but he just may come out of his shell this yr, we are 4 games in, if he didnt deserve to be in the team or wasnt in our best 22, do u think terry would have selected him?
what boggles me is why terry persists with tivendale! but thats another topic
-
Given Krak plenty of chances. He needs to shape up or be shipped out. Happy to be patient with young players - but he's way beyond that. Flashes of brilliance dont make for long term success. Consistency is critical.

I not so concerned about krak looking lazy as he does use the ball well but he just doesn't win enough footy consistently to use his skills. Good sides can carry cameo players who pop up once in 6 weeks and win a game off their own boot but we aren't a good side yet. Far from it. For a player in his 6th year (yes he start a year earlier than most) we need to demand more. IMO he should have been given 3 games to show he can win the ball every time and not have sub 10 disposal games as often as he does.
As for Tivs. He seems to have been played more "inside" so far this year and that's showing up in his tackle stats. There's still the old Tiv moments but he's at least this year doing more positive things for the team than negative such as winning his own footy and leading our inside 50 stat.
-
as i have been away for the first 4 weeks, my season starts now. i will reserve most of my judgements on players til round 10. by then if krak isnt having a krak, i will be the first to give him the boot, same goes for gas, tiv and all our other non skilled players who cannot dispose of the ball properly
-
well its qtime, and even though tiv has a fluke goal, his disposal has been appalling!
sugar is captain and lets hope he improves in teh second quarter
and my beef qith cogs continues, this is the guy we should trade, vastly overrated, cant kick with precision and penetration, and usually picks the wrong option. hartigan better learn to hit a target quick smart or he is gone also
-
X
Atleast the guys you mentions above are getting the ball. Everyone's disposal was down tonight.
Krak is a waste of space and thats it. He needs a min of 2-3 weeks of good performances at Coburg before he should be let back into the team
i would rather us try blokes like Limbach etc even Polo for that matter as they are our future. Krak is certainly not in our future.
-
Almost fell off my chair when I got home and found out Krak had as many as 15 disposals. Sheesh his efforts without the footy were woeful last night. The only thing that will save him from WP's dreaded turnip award ;) will be Rodan's game. Agree with Bully that 2-3 weeks at Coburg should be the minimum.
-
Rodan is gone as a league footballer, no speed, no tricks, disposal poor. Rodan, Krakouer and Stafford should make way next week. Its time for more new blood. If Dean Polo plays well tomorrow he deserves a chance for Rodan, Danny Meyer or Daniel Jackson should come in for Krakouer and Knobel should come in for Stafford.
-
I totally agree that Rodan really stuggled last night.
When Marc Murhpy came on he took Rodan apart, i no he was no1 pick but Rodan should be able to hold his own.
I agree with Ramps that he is finished as a league footballer in my opinion.

I'm with you there Ramps :thumbsup

rodan is a joke, always has been. last night was the end of him imo.
now krak, he had a few bad disposals, not as many as others, but he did what he had to do. kicked 2 goals, created fwd line pressure, kicked goals when needed, and used his brain!
he will play next week, he is 2-3 weeks away from bagging 6

Sorry X but I have to disagree with the bold comment. Walker got free of Krak a number of times and many of his "efforts", especially in the first half, were simply nowhere good enough for this level.
-
I think Rodan and Krak need to go back to Tiger Tafe and take a class in defence.
They dont understand it.
Maybe a class in accountability of you opponent also.
-
well from the footage i saw, in the first q , krak hardly had any game time if not any, in the second quarter, he also had minimal game time, in the second half , where he played mostly on the park and not on the bench, he kicked 2 goals , should have been 3 and i dont recall him ever playing on walker. But i do recall him working hard and doing most thinkgs right. watch the replay and listen to what the commentators were saying, maybe they were watching his performance with the same glasses that i was.

Yeah with Beer goggles ;D

And there in lies the problem X, the footage. As is the norm, the TV shows the bloke who has the ball and those close by. What it doesn't show you is the blokes 10 metres way or further up the ground. I've watched most of the replay and the TV as usually doesn't give the whole picture and makes some people look better then what they actually were.
Krak was terrible on Friday night. Sure he snagged 2 goals but for the majority of the night his disposal was terrible. The things I usually praise him for were at times were non-existent. There were times (and these don't show up on the footage) where he didn't chase or if he did he didn't chase hard enough. There times when he stood back and didn't help his team mate when they needed help (more on that in the a moment)
Krak ... He needs a min of 2-3 weeks of good performances at Coburg before he should be let back into the team
And that's been my arguement all along Bull. What is the point of sending a bloke back to the magoos for a week. Sure he may get a heap of the ball but guess what? THAT'S WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO. But what I want to see is them do it consistently. I really don't understand what message one week at Coburg and then being recalled sends to ALL the players :banghead
ANd just on blokes (and I am not talking about just Krak here) standing back and not going into help their team mates (ie just standing by letting someone else do the hard stuff) - I was shocked the number of times this happened on Friday night - IMO not acceptable >:(
-
Well, i can't see Krak getting dropped for this week's indigenous game, so perfect opportunity for him to have a good one.
X, he had a shocking first half last week - lazy as hell. Don't know if you were at the ground, but his efforts were very half-hearted indeed. Hopefully, he will be motivated this week to do well, although i'd like to see that every time he runs onto the ground.
-
Krak . Front and Centre. Do that, and he is Brilliant. Problem is he is always behind the contest >:(

wp, as u know i wasnt at the game, im purely basing my judgement on what i saw on tv, and take your word for it as i know u r an astute judge.
im just hoping he dosnt get dropped, i just hope he gets a run of 3-4 games to prove himself. let him get some rhythm and continuity. after that , if he shows all these bad attributes, send him off, but we all know he always plays well v the bombers.

The one positive out of all this is we're arguing over who should/shouldn't be in the side on merit instead of being the charity club for AFL games we've been in the last few years. Our depth is still ordinary but at least we're moving in the right direction.
