Actually it will be interesting how the turf at the new look MCG goes.

For years people have been saying one of the problems with the turf at the Dome is it doesn't get enough sunlight.

Same thing is going to happen now at the 'G on the members wing side.

Good pick up WP. I guess they're hoping the grating (for want of a better word) on the Northern grandstand cover will allow enough sunlight through.

i dont think the turf will suffer as much as the MCG as it isnt as enclosed as the Dome and will get most elements of the weather.

It looks fantastiv though doesnt it, i cant wait for tomorrow night!!

Sitting in the new stand also

I reckon it looks fantastic - I just hope there's a reasonable crowd 50K + to do it justice :thumbsup

maybe its our home ground but we get treated like poo. RFC needs to start organising candidates for MCC elections. Every year we put up 3 candidates...not as RFC people...but as independents...we need to do a trojan horse job and get control of the MCG on the sly.

Now that MCG is fully back in business, us Tiger supporters can do our part in reminding the MCC which club brings in the huge crowds. Two straight games against two of the ol' big 4 plus we don't have Spud's gameplan to bore us all to death anymore  :thumbsup.

Nothing beats being at the 'G when we are winning :bow.

Just one thing - where were the Blues fans? I know it was our home game and apparently people were having trouble finding parks outside, but the crowd was very pro-Tigers for a match against Carlton at the 'G. 54,000 isn't bad but it's nothing to write home about for two heavily supported clubs.
