Gotta be at a stage where gaining senior experience is now the priority hope he becomes a regular this yr.

A good season would be 15 games and averaging 20+ touches as an inside mid.

Shame we tried to strip size off this kid given he looked like such a natural inside mid. Not an outside/wing's a-hole.

Foot injury didn't help either.

15 Games would mean hes a regular and that means someone misses out. that won't go down well around here.

I agree stripping him down a little and getting him to play a bit more outside did hurt his output a bit. Imo though this was a good thing he had to get a bit more outside and in the long term it should help round his game out a bit more.

You a lot of time players struggling to get into a game win a bit of ball so getting a bit of cheap ball on the outside gets em kick started a bit

Also if Josh Caddy can play on a wing and not so well,  then just about anyone can.

I'd be disappointed if he doesn't play 10-12 games (perhaps more)

Think it s important to give him a role for a set period, not chopping and changing. See him as the ling term replacement for Cotch, then Prestia

Needs to improve his field kicking though.

His field kicking is really no worse than Cotchin's or Prestia's... in his first year before the injury it was arguably better... :shh

Dimma today on SEN said he is "really bullish" about Jack Ross this year.

THE MIDFIELDER AT ALL 18 CLUBS POISED FOR A BREAKOUT 2021 SEASON

Andrew Slevison
SEN
18 February 2021

Richmond - Jack Ross

The reigning premiership midfield is often difficult to break into, let alone an on-ball brigade that has delivered three flags in four years.

That is exactly the challenge Jack Ross faces in 2021.

The 20-year-old has produced some quality in his 14 games to date, but he requires increased consistency to be more of a central figure.

Continuity is critical for a developing youngster and if he is afforded opportunities early in the season, he must grasp them in order to win his spot alongside the likes of Dustin Martin, Trent Cotchin, Dion Prestia, Shane Edwards and last year’s breakout midfielder Shai Bolton.

Time spent with that group of players will allow him to flourish into a fine senior footballer.
