Title: Jeff Geischen interview
Post by: one-eyed on July 28, 2021, 04:16:58 PM
On July 28 1997, Jeff Gieschen was appointed caretaker coach of the Richmond Football Club.

By the end of his 2.5-year tenure, a new catchphrase had been born - “Unleash the Giesch”.

Rubbish coach, full of gimmicks and nonsense, had no idea on how to coach but was still better than Walls (at Richmond) by the size of the MCG, because Walls was probably the stupidest decision that I’ve seen the club make since I’ve been alive (yes, that includes all trades, coaches and board appointments and any other major decision the club has made).

Anyway I was never a fan of the Geisch and he was only appointed because of supporter emotion, the club always reactionary to the loudest supporter base and same same sort of short sighted emotion that whipped up the frenzy behind Justin Plapp.  :rollin
