ive been looking at 07fixtures to pick a good w/end to fly over watch the Tiges have a win etc some weekends have 5 games in Melb what do you think of watching 2 games on a sunday arvo-evening is it possible or too rushed
will the games take away from each other as far as crowds and cash goes
should the afl schedule them a bit further apart to increase numbers

The games aren't double headers so 632 you would need to rush across town from the 'G to the Dome or vice versa. Most Sunday arvo games next year will start at 2.10pm so they won't finish until about 4.45pm. That'll only give you say 20 minutes to get from one ground to the other as the twilight games start at 5.10pm. Of course you could leave the arvo game early to make it in time for the Tigers twilight matches. The only exception looking at the fixture is in Round 21. The Melbourne arvo game starts at 1.10pm (and finishes around 3.45pm) so that would give you an hour at least to get from the Dome to the 'G for the Essendon vs Richmond game.
I don't see the twlight games boosting crowds (quite the opposite IMV) but they are designed for TV. Channel 10 I think is telecasting them so they'll probably end up more high rating TV games than ones fans rock up to in droves. Waiting around till Sunday night for the footy will suck :scream.

Stupid idea. The NRL people all whinge about having a night Grand Final on Sunday night. Sunday night should be reserved just for shows like "Meerkat Manor", "Aust. Idol" and the Sunday night movies. I don't understand how they can do something like get rid of Foxfooty and then do this :banghead

It's all about tv ratings and maximising advertising dollars.

and Channel 10 doing motor racing?

It's not good for country stuff like myself, yuk yuk yuk.
It means a late-ish Sunday night home, (2 hour trip for me), plus it's right in the middle of dinner time, so couples with families will have to stuff out a small fortune feeding the kids!!
Good on TV though, but yeah, waiting all weekend for the game will be a bugger.

Lucky for TEN the Grand Final wasn't a draw otherwise they would have had a clash b/w showing the GF replay and Bathurst.
