Reports of a drug overdose
RIP Heath :'(
-
wtf?
brokeback mountain heaf?
-
What a shame he had so much but it just must have been his time. I really hope that it wasn't an overdose that took him as he has a little girl around tha same age of my granddaughter. My best wishes go out to his family.
Well R.I.P. Heath

It is a shame that an young one has died with the world at their feet.
R.I.P.

Very sad. Especially regarding his young daughter. My son used to watch "A Knight's Tale" over and over again. Knew it off by heart.
-
Reminds me of when River Phoenix died. Not a fan but still tragic especially for his child and family.
-
Shattered! RIP Heath :'(
-
I couldn't believe it when a friend first told me this at training. Dead at only 28. RIP :(.
-
So very sad for his family in Perth who found out from the radio news
-
Disgraceful that Heath's parents had to find out about their son's death via a radio report >:(
Also what's the go with that stupid masseuse? Took her 15 mins to ring 911! Very strange that she uses Heath's mobile (why not her own?) to call Mary-Kate Olsen (all of people?) twice before ringing for an ambulance. Wasted precious time. If I came across someone unconscious I wouldn't be checking that person's address book before ringing the ambulance. Stupid Yank!

They're now saying there were 3-4 calls to Mary-Kate Olsen. Weird! ???

That "drug video" is on the News Ltd sites.

Who cares if he took drugs.
The only person he hurt was himself.
-
Footage was 2 years old. Doesn't show him actually doing drugs and what's to say if he did, whether he was still doing drugs at the time of his death. Toxicology reports will clear that up.
How about that weirdo running around making out he's Heath's Dad? Talk about stooping to a new low.

It's probably his agent trying to recoup what he feels is owed him :shh

I remember going to a party in my undergrad days in Carlton at a students' house where downstairs was the main party with the usual music, beer, wine and chips while upstairs a bedroom was closed off for the potheads. Everytime they opened the door a huge wiff of burning hemp would flow down the corridor. At ANU in Canberra there use to be some guy openly selling dope and whatnot at the Uni Bar like he was at the footy selling cold pies and hot drinks. Then when I was a kid, an electrician a few doors down would bury drugs in his backyard while another neighbour was growing a marijuana plantation in his backyard. LOL at him saying it was just a overgrown "weed" to the cops :rollin. Sadly drugs are everywhere and have been for decades.
-
interesting to hear him say on the video that he has been smoking pot for 20 years, geez he must have started when he was 8, as he was only 28 when he died.
just let the guy rest in peace and his family grieve, sometimes the media poo me. :banghead

Heath Ledger died of accidental drug overdose
Article from: AAP
February 07, 2008 09:41am
HEATH Ledger's grieving family has issued a warning against mixing prescription drugs after US authorities found the actor died of an accidental overdose.
Medical authorities say the 28-year-old Australian film star died from an accidental overdose of six different drugs, prompting doctors to warn of the dangers of combining prescription drugs.
The Perth-born actor's father, Kim Ledger, added his voice to the warnings.
"While no medications were taken in excess, we learned today the combination of doctor-prescribed drugs proved lethal for our boy," he said in a statement.
"Heath's accidental death serves as a caution to the hidden dangers of combining prescription medication, even at low dosage."
Ledger died in his New York apartment "of acute intoxication" from the combination of two strong painkillers, two anti-anxiety medicines and two sleeping aids, according to the medical examiner's office.
Among the drugs found in his body were oxycodone, a painkiller sold as OxyContin and used in other pain relievers such as Percodan and Percocet.
Others included drugs sold as anti-anxiety pills Valium and Xanax, which are sedatives.
