Title: How safe is Brendan Nelson as Opposition Leader
Post by: Moi on March 04, 2008, 06:10:10 PM
Well according to Ian Macfarlane, he's as "safe as houses".

Don't think that will give him much confidence on an interest rate hike day.

 :rollin

A Newspoll published in today's Australian newspaper shows Dr Nelson's approval rating as preferred prime minister has sunk to a new low of just 7 per cent.

When was the last time the first opposition leader after his party lost power became PM?

Beazley - Nup
Peacock - Nup
Whitlam (after dismissed) - Nup. Neither did Hayden.
Snedden - Nup
Chifley died. Evatt - Nup.

History says Nelson is a sitting duck  :yep.
