Yeah, i know excitiing :(, but i just went for a walk on the pier at Port Melbourne and there are absolutely thousands and thousands of the buggers in the water there.
Any ecologicals out there who can tell me what kind of damage these little critters do?
Nice spot i work - get to see the players come down during the day over summer ;D

Here i was trying to save the bay and it ends up me buying drinks and dirty jokes lol

CARNTS OF THINGS.
To kill them you have to keep em out of water for days.
Cant cut them in half because they become two.
Major problem.

Happy to report the numbers of these pests have dramatically reduced in the area - still a few. I wonders where they went to tho lol.
But the garbage in the water is just as bad - i wouldn't swim there if you paid me.
My favourite haunt in Vic is Venus Bay and hope to spend a week there this summer - anyone else got a favourite???

Head to Beechworth every year for a weekend with friends. Also like the Kiewa Valley.
Down the coast we enjoy Cape Otway - can take the Dogs away with us when we go there :thumbsup

lmfaoooooo@Ox asking his parents if he can go to the beach as a youngster just so he could play out his sadistic fantasies with sea-life.

Hmmm, i noticed that John after he posted it, but thought if i'm saving the bay from these critters, i would forgive him on this occasion lol. Although i'm now wondering if it's not all his fault seeing as you can carve them up and they still live. Wonder if we could distract him from those "endearing" qualities and get him to target spiders. If you pull the legs off spiders one by one do they live. I'm sure he'll have an answer :rollin

Surf coast (Torquay)/ Great Ocean Road. Just outside Healesville is also a nice spot.

The only spiders I'm interested in pulling the legs off of are ROCK SPIDERS -LMAO

As i climbed over the fence i saw a one i thought i connected with.
As i walked over to pat it my grandpa appeared from the side and slashed its throat.

Kiewa Valley - that brings back memories. Did an exchange school camp with the kids from Bandiana - we were billetted by families in the army.
My favourite places are probably Evans Head (we go there every Christmas) and Lennox Head (we go there for our May Labour Day long weekend) in northern NSW.

Didn’t tell you about yesterday’s Pier events. Walking along the pier, minding my own business, when I looked at a couple come onto the beach. She got down to her bikini, and he got his gear off, and I mean, he got all of it off. Sort of caught my attention :o, so I stopped and watched. He then got up and with both hands covering himself started running down to the water. So I yelled out hello and waved to him. Unfortunately, he knew what I was up to, and only lifted one hand and waved back lol. His girlfriend and I were pissiing ourselves, and I kept on watching him run to the water. He gets to the water and goes in up to his knees – too effing cold and he came out again lol. All he got out of that little stunt was two women laughing at his shortcomings and severe embarrassment. Made my day though lol :rollin
