Caro on 3AW tonight with Healy and Russell...
* The Leak - it came from a number of people. When you have the President, coach, footy manager and players at a meeting they talk to other people and these people talk and it gets out.
* Caro said she doesn't know what was said between Newy and Terry but she believes he said to Terry you have lost the players. Jake King was there because he's one of these players who likes to speak.
* Terry may have felt he might have been in trouble but he never was.
* Richo and Joel didn't think it was the players role to tell the coach what to do.
* The Future - senior people at Richmond would like Terry to stay on until the end of the season. She believes that's the reason why some of the players arced up because they thought Terry would be going sooner and were concerned about long-term plans regarding Terry. The Club will tell Terry in two weeks time that he won't be coaching next year. He could stay or he might step down straight away.
* Caro said she would be staggered if Sheeds is asked to step in even for a short period. That goes against everything anyone at the club she has spoken to has said.

I will also be staggered if Sheedy steps in even to cut the oranges, Essendon parted way with Sheedy because they believed he could not take the club any further, for us to even consider him as coach for one game would be putting this club back 2 years at a minimum.

Tigers main concern is to get the best assistant coaches available to develope & push the youngsters up to where they should be in development

I'd like to know if there are any penalty clauses in the coaches' contract regarding early dismissal from the job. It's not unheard of that an early dismissal can involve a loss of reputation and prestige. Maybe there is more to this than just paying out his salary for the remainder of the year.
What if, as well as his salary, we had to pay a penalty for early dismissal? Would the club have been desparate enough to agree to something like that back when he started?

After 30 years why do some Tiger supporters still have an obsession with Sheeds being coach no matter how many times he says no ???.

maybe because we come from the old era where anything can change in a day at Tigerland, since they shafted Kevin Bartlett & changed the Richmond football club forever
I would say shafting Hafey and then club champions walking out at once in the early-mid 80s changed the club but either way that's all ancient history and lightyears away from footy in 2009 and the professionalism required. Time for the club to move forward and not back to a messiah will save us complex.
