Title: Luke McGuane cops a reprimand over the Peake incident
Post by: one-eyed on May 31, 2009, 06:45:37 AM
Do you think any Tiger is in trouble with the Match Review Panel over the alleged "contact" with Peake behind the play?

Ch 10 were pointing the finger at Polo but the vision wasn't that clear to tell  ???.

Vision on the tv was certainly inconclusive, however they may find more
I thought it may have been Cousins on first view, he was getting a bit fired up at times also
If it was Polo then as they said on the tv, hopefully he can blame the head knock :)

peake is a softie

it was polo, but it was accidental contact lol, polo had his eye on the ball and peake was not in his sight and came from a blind spot lol

Title: Luke McGuane cops a reprimand from the MRP
Post by: one-eyed on June 01, 2009, 05:49:30 PM
Luke McGuane, Richmond, has been charged with a Level Two striking offence against Brett Peake, Fremantle, during the second quarter of the Round 10 match between Richmond and Fremantle, played at Subiaco on Saturday May 30, 2009.

In summary, he can accept a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record with an early plea.

The incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record.

Contact between Richmond’s Ben Cousins and Fremantle’s Byron Schammer from the fourth quarter of Saturday’s game was assessed. The panel said that due to the insufficient video evidence available, no further action would be taken.

Is that the grainy off the ball footage, or the fair bump in general play??

did luke take the fall for polo, i thought it was polo, anyway should have contested it, footage could not prove who it was , just proved that peake is a weak idiot, he fell and sooked at least twice, the first one was a definate legitimate shirt front from mguane where peake fell and squirmed like he was shot in the chest, so mguane must have gone for seconds and make sure of it lol
