HAWTHORN has committed to a succession plan with four-time premiership player Sam Mitchell to take over from his four-time premiership coach Alastair Clarkson in 2023.

Good on them. Replacing a legendary coach with a legendary player/captain who has been learning the craft for years already.

Yeah I think so.

I think the biggest problem with Collingwood was Eddie getting too involved with it all the time.

Pies list management then really stuffed their salary cap.

If Pies had got over the line in 2018 (and they were close let's be honest) we wouldn't be having this convo.

Kennett has wanted Clarkson out since he came back for 2nd coming as President.

Disgraceful what he has done... but not at all unexpected
