What is everyone's fixture wishlist for the 5 opposition teams we play twice in 2022?
For the first time in a long while we are in the middle six bracket.
A middle six team can play against a top six team no more than twice, and the same rule applies with a middle six team playing against a bottom six team. - Foxsports (https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-fixture-2021-winners-and-losers-who-every-club-plays-twice-double-up-verdict/news-story/07553019691175b05571b116ffff5d93)
So we can only play twice:
1-2 of Melb, Dogs, Port, Geel, Bris, GWS.
2-3 of Syd, Ess, WCE, StK, Freo.
1-2 of Carl, Haw, Adel, GC, Coll, Norf.
n.b. This year we played twice Geel, Bris, GWS, StK, Haw.
-
From the top 6, either Gerlong or Melbourne
From the bottom 6, Collingwood
-
Hopefully GWS twice
Pies and Bluesntwice.
-
It'll be Geel Dees to maximise crowds.
Middle bracket I'd expect to get all interstate teams. Can see 2 trips to Perth and Saints. Although We may get Bombers twice too.
AFL will max crowds next year lock in the big 4 doubled up all year.
Carlton and Coll as well again to max crowds.

So far what we can guess:
R1 vs Carlton ........ Likely Thursday night, March 24 ....... Away
R2
R3
R4
R5 vs Melbourne ..... Anzac Eve, Sunday night, April 24 ........... Home
R6
R7
R8
R9
R10/11 vs Essendon .... Dreamtime at the 'G in Late May/Early June ............. Home

The first 8-10 rounds of the AFL season are expected to be locked in with the rest of the season on a floating schedule, per 7AFL's

Don't really care who we play twice. Just hoping that every week we play someone below us on the ladder.
-
Port is also hoping for at least two games at the MCG.

They have played Richmond_FC at the MCG in only 4 of last 20 H&A games dating back to 2007. Surely Richmond are due for a run of home games against them.

Last 23 H/A seasons vs Port (since 1999):
Adelaide Oval/Football Park 21 matches
MCG 4 matches
Docklands 4 matches
Darwin 1 match

Apparently the fixture will be release next week according to Ch 7.
There will be a floating fixture for the second half of the season.
-
Floating fixture :banghead So much for the supporters that like to go to games and plan.
All geared to a generation of lazy fat arses sitting on their couches ordering uber eats, the world is screwed
So to answer the ? release the whole damn fixture and whatever will be will be
-
Clubs believe the AFL will have the first eight or nine rounds of the men’s fixture locked in when they release it next week, with the remaining match-ups determined but the timeslots to be fixed.
----------------------------------
The AFL is committed to maximising the number of Victorian match-ups in round one.
The ideal scenario would be to match all 10 Victorian teams against each in five games over five consecutive days
Essendon were the only “big five” Victorian club - that includes Carlton, Collingwood, the Bombers, Hawthorn and Richmond - to make the finals in 2021, however, with new coaches at the Blues, the Magpies and the Hawks, interest will be high, particularly early in the season.

"Big five" :huh3

Lol, just casually trying to sneak the hawks in
-
Hes a hawks man i reckon. Hawthorn will lose supporters by the truckload when thry work out Mitchell cant coach and letti g Clarkson go was the worst thing that club ever did.
-
Full fixture to be release on Wednesday according to Mitch Cleary on 7news.
The guess is we'll get the Dogs in round 2 if they play Wednesday night and we play Thursday night in round 1 (we can't play Melbourne until Anzac Eve).
