Mark Chaffey
« on: May 23, 2004, 12:03:06 AM »
What has happened to Chaffey? His ability to find a target by foot has fallen away so badly this year that IMO he is in line for a run at Coburg. I'm not just talking about tonight and I don't mean to single him out as nearly everyone had a absolute shocker but he has been poor so far this year. Is he fit or just totally out of form?

Mark Chaffey is a very average footballer at best.  He started off as a dud and is showing his true colors.  He has no awareness, balance, vision and football smarts.  And as such is found out too often.........delist or trade.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

Yeah I was thinking that last night.  Chaffey clearly isn't up to scratch this year.

Bear in mind that all these guys would have reached
the end of their tenure with the potato republic
and would find it hard to find any inspiration when Danni
is sitting helplessly in the coachs box as the opposition heirachy
run rings around his bafoonish style of game.

I also think choco has no respect for spuds game plan - nor should he.

As I posted in my votes....

THE GOLDEN TURNUP:
Mark Chaffey for his efforts in the 1st quarter when he gave away 3 free kicks in our forward 50 in the first 20 minutes of said 1st quarters coupled with his 2 outstanding clangers which resulted in 3 of Port's first 4 goals - a tremendous performance

Let's just say I have been extremely disappointed with his performances this season.

Remember - he is now a "leader" and a lot more is expected IMO

I don't have much respect for Choco's game plan either - flooding and chipping around the back line.

When the skills are working it works - when they aren't Port Adelaide look ...er..... Richmond (the terrible one not the OK one) like.

That was part of the problem on Saturday night in the first 20 minutes - Port flooded in front of Richo and our mid-fielders and flankers did not know what to do and they cleared by chipping all over the place.

How I hate the FLOOD!
