Went to the classic last week and saw RED 2.It was billed as an action comedy, but to me it just didn't cut the mustard..The comedy was lame and the action was hardly that.
I give this

Tiga, maybe I was being a little too harsh with the rating, its just I expected more from such a star studded cast,.
I didn't even raise a chuckle from the humour and the action was a bit like.....so whats new.
when you have people like Bruce wilis, john Malkovich, hellen Mirren, antony Hopkins etc...your expectation rises

Went to the classic cinema in Elsternwick and saw the new woody allen movie Blue jasmine.it stars cate blanchett ,alec Baldwin, peter sarsgaard, and the ever delight full sally Hawkins.
The film is about the fall from grace of the rich cate and alec, and cates leaving New York to live in Sanfranciso with her sister(sally Hawkins).
don't know why but this movie just didn't sit right with me,maybe I was in the mood for a laugh and not really into thinking too much and I think this movie certainly pushed the other buttons at times.
I give it

Off to the classic last night and saw the Sandra bullock,George Clooney film "Gravity"
What an absolute belter it was. There were only 2 characters throughout the movie, but this didn't diminish the movie in any way ,in fact it added another dimention to it.
Not your typical Sci Fi but certainly a movie that had me on the edge of my seat once or twice.
I give this

hey gig good flic for a pair of 65 year olds? Going to send the folks on a night out for dinner and movies and this one seems good.

Bit worried it may be too sci fi for them.

FWIW I decided against Gravity and they watched Rush and thought it was great

My brother and his wife also watched it the night before and gave it a high ranking
