Amazing foreign policy,  saved America's relationship with a number of countries. Created jobs, lowest ever unemployment level for the black community, economy absolutely soaring. Stood up to China.

He was a great president. You may have found him offensive and that is your right...but at least admit he was brilliant for the USA and the world :thumbsup
Thanks for reminding me in the other thread with your " :shh" about this laughable post.

Black unemployment in America was already falling significantly before Trump became president. When he left office though it was higher than when he started.

                                                                'Black' unemployment %
Start of Obama (Jan 2009)                              12.6
End of Obama/Start of Trump (Jan 2017)           7.7
End of Trump (Jan 2021)                                   9.2

Yeah Trump really stood up to China  :lol. When we lost our barley export market in China thanks to Xi's 80% tariff attack, guess who stepped in to take advantage of it at our expense rather than stand by us  ::).

Trump peeed off most of America's allies such as ourselves. No ally could trust or rely on him. He was too busy giving Putin/Russia a free ride while trying to be best buddies with the West's enemies such as dictator Kim Jong Un (North Korea is also a buffer state for China btw).

Trump was/is nothing but a compulsive lying narcissistic and megalomaniac fraud. Always has been. Only suckers fall his deluded BS rhetoric. Atlantic City was a portent to his presidency. Short term sugar hit that ultimately fails disastrously in the long run except of course for himself who just walks away from the mess he created while being in denial and/or blaming others for it. "Great presidents" don't get voted out after only one term with their country in a mess :shh.

Those that decided to go on the wild goose chase in Iraq based on a lie about WMDs at the expense of focussing on Afghanistan when the Taliban were in full retreat back then have a lot to answer for 20 years later.

hahaha nice deflection

how is sleepy joe going?

Deflection? You do realise withdrawing US troops from Afghanistan was Trump's policy. The US had been seeking a political solution hoping for a shared coalition government which included the Taliban for the past 5 years because the Americans had had enough of having their troops still being there 20 years on with no sign of an end. Biden continued that foreign policy. In the end, the western-trained Afghan government army just folded like a pack of cards without western support against a resurgent Taliban.

As far as my post, at the start of the Afghan War it was a rout. Kabul and the north of the country fell in just weeks to the non-Taliban coalition with just Western air support. The Taliban were fleeing southwards. The West going off to Iraq when the task in Afghanistan wasn't even half-completed allowed the Taliban to maintain their strongholds in the south, regroup and reorganise not just in Afghanistan but also in neighbouring Pakistan. There's a reason why the Afghan War went for 20 years and those that changed Western focus to Iraq and allowed the Taliban the chance to regroup back in 2003 have a lot to answer for it back then and now.

Russia's attack on Ukraine has begun.

Russian troops landing in Odessa. Blasts heard in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities.

This is a really sad time for the world.

We all saw it coming and I am convinced it will just be Crimea again. Nobody will go to fight for Ukraine and Russia will just bully their way into new territory and annex whatever they want. The sanctions don't mean a damned thing to them.

Great leadership by John Howard that was. Really sucked up hard.

I suppose you could say we were already in bed with them after the BS in Afghanistan.

While Ukraine is heavily outgunned, this invasion hasn't gone the way Putin and the Russians wanted. Some of the tactics used have been odd as though they actually believed Putin's rhetoric of being welcomed as "liberators". Ukraine is putting up a fight that is lasting longer than expected, Russian losses are significant (not that Putin cares about using 20 y.o. conscripts as pawns), and even if Russia conquer Ukraine they are going to face years of an insurgency supplied by NATO. Putin has gone all in and is acting more desperate which is a concern. In an ideal world he is taken out by his own along with his puppet Lukashenko in Belarus.

Here's not a bad summary of why Russia is invading Ukraine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If61baWF4GE&t=1915s

Russia has had pretty much the same foreign policy for the past 400 years whether it was a monarchy, communist state or the current oligarchy of thugs under the wannabee tsar Putin. They never learn Eastern Europe isn't theirs and then wonder why neighbouring nations want to join NATO.

One of the little oligarchs had a hissy fit on Russian TV because the sanctions stop him travelling to his two luxury villas in Lake Como :nopity. Yeah, they love mother Russia and hate the West so much they cry and have a tantrum when they have to stay home and can't live in Italy  :lol. No surprise either they want their Putin-puppet Trump back in the White House either  :shh.
