No point risking Prestia for one game. Give him the week off which with the bye then allows his hammy no matter how minor a full three weeks between games to fully be right. Dion's too important to risk on one H/A match.

If they play him we know the subbing was a ruse
Not necessarily. A doc has to approve the substitution so it's on the doc's reputation as well. Dion said he felt hammy tightness and probably couldn't play on. Why would we take a key mid off if he was fine when the game was still up for grabs?

Listening to Dimma's presser today, it sounds like Prestia won't play. Might be shadow boxing but he's not normally one to do that.

Yep, it sounds doubtful Dion will play.

"He's questionable at this stage, we'll see how he goes at training but we're hopeful he can get up and play the game for us," Hardwick said.

As mentioned in the team thread, Prestia is a late withdrawal according to SEN just now.

Ch 9 said Prestia was moving freely at training but clearly we didn't want to risk him.

Out with hamstring tightness again.

"Dion unfortunately won't play either, he's pulled up a bit tight from a hamstring injury, which we just haven't seemed to – it just keeps moving from side to side, so he's another guy who won't play this week," Hardwick said.

Hopefully Prestia is only a week away if he's back training with the main group  :pray.

I think they said recently that they wanted him to train with the main group for two weeks before playing, so maybe 2 weeks away.

Put Maurice Rioli Jnr in the middle and tell him he has to play as good as his dad.  :rollin

IF MJR can stick a tackle then he's already ahead of the majority of our list... :shh

Understatement to say we need Dion badly back in our midfield. Touchwood his hammies hold up :pray.

"(Dion) hasn't had the year both he and I would like, but the fact of the matter is he's back and available to play this week," Hardwick said.

"He's such an important player to us, a best and fairest winner. They're so important, those transition mids. They're very hard to find and we've got one of the bests in the league.

"So, it's a welcome relief to have him back and we look forward to him building on the last four games plus whatever it may be at the end of the season."
