Whether it's your first mark, first tackle or first snag, the first time wearing the Yellow and Black is pretty special.

Cumberland because he had to wait a long time for his chance and took it with both hands. In a parallel universe lynch doesn’t get injured in the suns game, cumberland never comes on and he likely gets delisted this year.

Cumberland for me.

Love a player who can hit the scoreboard, there's nothing else like it. I hope he continues to kick them in 2023 and doesn't disappear.

Gibcus was sensational until the bye. Has a kid's body.

Sonsie also a great part of the end of the year, very excited to see if he steps up again next year.

All in all a very exciting year for our cubs especially with MRJ taking a big leap and Miller looking comfortable at the top level.

Biggie was meh and Clarke it's early days.

Gibcus did well to play so many games for a first year tall defender. He's ahead of the curve in terms of gaining AFL experience.

Midway through the year, I thought Cumberland was gone. Credit to him to save his career at Tigerland.

However, Sonsie is the one for mine. There's something special about him which will only become more pronounce only he gets another preseason or two into him and improves his tank at AFL level. He was tagged as a top 5 pick before injury interrupted his U18 year. He could end up another bargain for us at pick 26 as Bolton was (albeit a different type of player).

Sonsie for me with Cumberland not far behind

Sonsie is going to be a special player, natural footballer

And full credit to Cumberland, as MT said he saved his career. Will admit that early in the season after some of his performances in the VFL I thought he was goneskis

Cumberland, has a freakish ability to be in the right spot ( Brust like)  and Sonsie ( Sidebottom like) are a  dead heat for me.
Gibcus will be a better player for this year, just ran out of steam
The other new boys like too should improve with this years experience and a pre season

Reckon Cumberland is the epitimy ? of players who only have the odd good game in the two,s if that but when playing seniors goes to a new level.
Lots of kids like that who just get written off.

Sonsie should have played many more games just like Gibcus did. But hey its hard for them to drop favorites like Castagna and others.
So many wasted opportunities to get games into kids.

CUMMY! The fact that he turned his career around but also how he responded after that unfortunate play on faux pas. To me that does real character

Close second is Sonsie (always regarded as a super talented midfielder) so I wasn’t surprised as such to see him show his class but boy oh boy I hope we’re just scratching the surface his potential.

Gibcus tied with sonsie. Before then bye the guy was absolutely dominating and not to mention his field kicking is a thing of beauty. I think his body got worn out bad as the season went ok but with another preseason or 2 look out.

I also want to be a bit sneaky and also bring up MRJ. I know he debuted round 21 last year but that’s hardly having a season. For all intents of purposes I feel like he debuted this year and I think as he settles in on the big stage a bit more we’ll see some absolute magic from him for a while
