I would expect Kelvin Moore to be promoted to the seniors.

As he has been on our rookie list 2 years - we either promote or delist him. That's why I reckon he'll be promoted.

Amazing to see our first 6 picks in the top 40.

Our drafting maybe complete (in the National Draft) by round 20 :thumbsup

Can you explain the rookie list to me pls WP - i thought Kelvin had been promoted off that list just because he's played seniors.  Didn't think a rookie could play senior games.  Obviously not - would hate to see him not put on the senior list.

Your rookie list is made up of players that usually miss out in the national or PSD who teams have as back up to their senior list. The cost of rookies is very low (about $20k + match payments). It gives clubs a chance to see how these kids develop. there is alos restrictions on the age of rookie players (must be under 24 - thats why Dragga's been de-listed he will be too old for the rookies next year)

Rookies can be promoted to the senior list during the season froars, if there a player put on the long lerm injury list (eg Duncan Kellaway this year with his kidney injury). I think also if you go short on your list you can promote a rookie if you have salary cap room (but could be wrong on that one ;)). Once the player has recovered and taken off the Long term injury list the rookie goes back on the rookie list.

Players can only be retained on a rookie list for 2 years. Kel Moore was rookie listed in 2003 and 2004 so he either has to be promoted (which I reckon he will be) or de-listed and re-drafted. Nathan Foley doesn't need to be promoted because he has only been rookie listed for 1 season. The other thing is that if a rookie agrees to stay on the rookie list they are no allowed to nominate for the National draft

Thanks for clearing that up WP  :cheers

If Kel gets promoted which I hope he does then IMO someone else will most likely be delisted. Pick 36 is too good a pick to pass up on.

Exactly right MT.

We would be the laughing stock (again) if we passed on pick 36.  Clubs will look at us and shake their heads.  You can't possibly retain Hilton and pass on pick 36.  It's just ridiculous even thinking about it.  I would even delist one more player (Weller, Fleming, Chaffey, etc. - whoever is out of contract) and use pick 52.

Just updating the updated list and bringing it back to the top of the board.

I'd reckon we'll give Simmonds guernsey number 5  :lol

I would even delist one more player (Weller, Fleming, Chaffey, etc. - whoever is out of contract) and use pick 52.

TW read your post Harry  :thumbsup

Must have some spare money if we can put Cambo outside the senior list of 38 and onto the Veteran's list  8). That's changed from what Miller said a few weeks back.

So now we have:

Senior list: 29 spots filled out of a compulsory 38 -> 9 spots free = Picks 1,4,12,16,20,35,49,60 + PSD
Veteran list: 1 spot
Rookie list: 1 spot filled (can have up to 5)

If Ty goes we can also use pick 65.

Got to say I am surprised that Richo isn't on the veterans list - why wouldn't you when it means only half his salary is counted in the TPP

It's got me scratching my head :-\

I'm scratching mine too WP. (head that is ;D)

I'm sure I read somewhere that Richo will still only have half his salary counted in the TPP because he is eligible for the veteran's list.
I don't know if this is correct. Don't know where I read it either, I thought it was on here. ???

I wasn't surprised Richo was included within the 38 as it saves us money by not needing to recruit another player for the senior list but was surprised there wasn't a "v" next to his name on the list.

I don't know for certain WP but I heard a rumour a week or so ago that we will have so many kids after this and last year's drafts that to stay above the 92% TPP minimum (that's right I said minimum lol) Richo will have to remain on the seniors list. No big deal really and a bit of a bonus actually because in a couple of years when we need to start paying these kids more money we will have plenty of room under the salary cap to manoeuvre and if Richo is still around we can then move him onto the Veterans' list so that only half his salary counts towards our TPP. Plus Cambo will be retired by then.

lol @ us going from maximum TPP to the minimum in one off-season. Miller and Wallace have truly brought out the big broom  :thumbsup

If that rumour is true MT - that would be fantastic and hilarious in that order. And if we can get rid of Ty then ............ :bow

As some of our esteemed OER posters would say LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO :rollin :rollin

Just a clarification from Greg Miller. Although it's listed now as Cambo being on the Veterans' list and outside the 38, we will be moving him back inside the 38 prior to Christmas. The previous rules didn't allow veterans outside to swap back inside but that was changed this year.

So we now have (this is me now saying this not Greg):

Senior list: 30 spots filled out of a compulsory 38 -> 8 spots free = Picks 1,4,12,16,20,36,52 + PSD  (If Zantuck goes we could also use pick 65 or a second PSD pick).
Rookie list: 1 spot filled (can have up to 6)
