Tigers announce Clive Peeters partnership

The Clive Peeters brand will appear on the shorts and tracksuits of players as well as supporting game day and non- game day branding and communications.

Clive Peeters is one of Australia’s leading electrical appliances and whitegoods retailers with 18 stores Australia-wide.

“This is a partnership between two national brands and we look forward to working with Clive Peeters and delivering them great value,” Richmond CEO Brendon Gale said.

“We anticipate this three-year deal to be the start of an enduring partnership and are excited by the prospect of driving some exciting outcomes for Clive Peeters.  ”

Clive Peeters General Manager Nik Papa said he was keen for the sponsorship to go beyond traditional arrangements and that he wanted to add real value for Richmond members and supporters.

“We at Clive Peeters are very excited at the opportunity to sponsor Richmond for the next three years,” Papa said. “We very much look forward to the years ahead and right now at Clive Peeters - as it is with Richmond - there is a real buzz around the place.”

“Both businesses have much in common - new leadership, strengths to build upon and a commitment to continual improvement. It's an exciting time for all.”

The Tigers’ deal with Clive Peeters comes on the back of recent partnerships also announced with ME Bank, who secured naming rights to the club’s new training and administration base, and Signet who will appear on the sleeve of Richmond’s official media polo for the next three years.

I hope that is the case but how do we know for sure  ???

Mr RFC-O please confirm  ;D

DickSmith's focus was going to be the indigenous learning centre and our programs in the NT

But I do hope that DSmith are staying on board and if they are not then the $$$ from this deal more than compensate losing DS if they walk because it is deemed a conflict

Didn't expect that seeing as they almost went broke

Ditto

Yeah and what makes it more surprising is that hasn't Harvey Norman trimmed back on their NRL sponsorship tiga?

In a way I guess this has already had a desired effect. I also thought Clive Peeters was history and wouldn't have thought of them if I was looking for white goods or electrical. I know know they still exist, which is a surprise, and will consider them from now on.

I think so WP. They are really only doing State of Origin and the scoreboards.

I wonder when we're winning a game if they'll now play the Clive Peeters "e-e-easy" after each of our goals just to rub it into the opposition.

There are plenty of large corporations that act in much more insidious ways than Gerry Harvey.

It seems that some people will never be happy.

Yep I don't mind Harvey Norman. You just need to be able to haggle well and play one store off another to get the price down a fair bit. They don't check either when you claim a lower price from another retailer  :whistle. Hopefully as RFC members we get a discount from Clive Peeters.

Richmond signs Clive Peeters as new sponsor

RICHMOND has now secured all but one of its key sponsorships for 2011 after signing Clive Peeters as its shorts sponsor.

tThe logo of the electrical appliance and whitegoods retailer will appear on the club's shorts and tracksuits this year.

Richmond also signed up car insurance company Bingle as a co-major sponsor this week, with Signet on board to sponsor the club's official media polo for the next three seasons.

Clive Peeters General Manager Nik Papa said the company was keen to be involved with a club on the move.

"We at Clive Peeters are very excited at the opportunity to sponsor Richmond for the next three years,'' he said.

"We very much look forward to the years ahead and right now at Clive Peeters - as it is with Richmond - there is a real buzz around the place.''

The club is still searching for a sponsor for the front of its playing jumper this year.

Richmond captain Chris Newman believes the club's dark days are over.

"That's the main feeling at the club. There's just a lot of belief in what we are doing, not only on the ground but off it.''
