Title: Great game Tiges
Post by: Coach on August 14, 2011, 04:43:44 PM
Eff you Barrett! Eff you Mr Bible boy! Eff you haters and go you stuffing Tiges  :gotigers :gotigers :gotigers :gotigers :gotigers

Cotch, Tucky, Glove (dominated Reid for most of the game), even Gus and a few others were really good. Posty showed a bit and Rance had another good game. Dan Jackson is still one of the dumbest footballers going round but he did some good things today  ;D

 :cheers

Yep it was unneeded and just plain dumb. Luckily swans stuffed it up and nothing came of it from memory but it could of very easily been a game changing goal.

To be honest, I don't think pick 10 is going to decide whether or not we can win a flag in the next 10 years. That pick is not going to show us if Dimma can coach a decent side to finals. and it wont magically make the team consistent, so i dont give a eff if Adelaide finish ahead of us or if we finish below them. it's pick 10 FFS. Hird was 73. We got Batch last year for something ridiculous and he's had a great first season.

stuff tanking

to get statistical improvement from last year. to allow the players to believe that they are still improving and that in time there time will come. memberships for next year and overall positivity are just some of the reasons why people wanted us to win today.

Because winning is EVERYTHING. And besides, as JT correctly points out, the "prize" for losing once "Greatest Waste of Space" has finished plundering the draft is pathetic anyway. Keep winning Tigers.

What is the benefit in losing, pick 10 as opposed to pick 12? We are not talking the difference between pick 1 and 4, there are no priority picks in play. Ridiculous to even contemplate tanking this year or last year.  :rollin

43 points is our biggest winning margin against Sydney since 1990. :o

Tanking/cheating is for Carlton and Melbourne.  Nobody cares when they win because its a hollow victory.  Carlton fans are like spoiled kids who's dad buys them everything they want and then they parade around like they have achieved something.  When we beat someone they smart hard because we are building from the dust and they all think they are better than us.

If the best way of getting ahead is to tank, then I don't want to be a part of it.

Keep that up and you might get reinstated. The seagulls are swarming as we speak.

Daniel Jackson is 1/18th seagull. He can control them with his powerful mind. Or it could be that he looks like a giant potato scallop with sauce...  ???

Potato scallops?

That places you north of the border.

Explains a lot.

I must say that I am far from a Jackson fan, but he was very good on the weekend. Did some surprisingly 'clever' things, tap-ons and the like (weird, i know) and was generally strong around the contests. :thumbsup
Needs to play like that for the rest of the year before I change my mind on him though.

Yeah only noticed when I looked at a replay of the Morton snap after continuous tackling pressure that Jackson gave a really solid shepherd to give Mitch time.
