Post your comments on Edwards game here.
How did he play after signing his contract earlier in the week?
-
Edwards did a few neat things that quarter with his running the lines. Has an assist in Nahas goal.
-
Assist Edwards to Cotch for a goal
-
Good run through the centre then missed his teammate by 15m
-
Dont worry bout edwards.
Wherr is miller king jackson threads?
-
Kingy nowhere near it. Not fit!

King and Nahas need threads.
-
Edwards, king, nahas, miller
The list could go on...
We haven't come to win tonight and we will get screwed in the arse tonight big time
-
Received a good handball from Jack, kicked the goal over his shoulder
-
This is because of 30 years of success. We used to be this way too.
-
Goal over the other shoulder after a great effort in a marking contest
-
Has been very good tonight. Very good
-
Mark and goal to put us within five points.
-
No problems with Eddo tonight - very good game.
-
Kingy might need a spell, and Edwards in the forward line works well for me.
Great game by Shane.
-
I didn't see the trademark shank kick and turnover tonight. He did his job.
-
In our best few. 17 possessions, 3 goals and 4 tackles. No real errors come to mind, I think there was one early on. But his best game for the year so far
-
Kingy is clearly not 100%, needs a break, thought Edwards was great tonight, especially lifted for the Dreamtime game, if he can have this sort of input regularly without turnovers he could prove a valuable forward.
-
Probably Edwards best game tonight. I can think of only one stuff-up in the 2nd quarter. Apart from that he was involved in at least half-a-dozen of our goals including kicking 3 himself. He'll be in my votes.
-
Played well, can't wait for WAT's assessment.
-
Nothing wrong with his game tonight and i think Dimma needs to stop this fascination with Edwards in the midfield or back half.
Plonk him in the forward line
End of story
Nahas and King can go bend over Peter Slipper for all i care

Best game I've seen Shane play in a while.
Was almost our wildcard in the last. :thumbsup

Look will reply in detail tomorrow but yes great game from Shane, right in front of his second best goal.....but geez Tiges.....very small... :-\
-
If Edwards can maintain that same level like that he is a wildcard for a us.Before he got right into in the second half it was the same player making silly decisions in and out of the play to oftengone missing.
-
Great game Shane. Represented our indigenous very well
-
But if and when we play finals will go missing. Too small too skinny. Move on to another club. I've had it with these wannabe hacks playing 1 good game out of 20. :banghead

......... If that game wasn't a finals-type atmosphere, I don't know what was
-
He isn't going to play that well every week (what small forward does?) - but looked great.
He created 2 goals from nothing and helped out another 3 or 4 goals.
Personally, I think if can add a better defensive mindset, ie hold tackles then he and Nahas are our small forwards into the future.
Nahas for pace, Edwards for his "in close" work and creativity.
Both need to improve their defensive mindset but have the pohtential
The stuff about being too small is hoey - we have size around them now so it isn't so much of an issue.

we just gave him a two yr contract extension sheesh craig cameron is a mug.
kicked 3 goals as a small forward rotating thru the midfield. once again did a few nice things along with his usual stuff ups. still not enough ball and his tackling is ineffective.
based on the essendon game alone he would be a better forward option than both nahas and king. in fact its been my belief for a few yrs now that nahas and edwards are in competition for one spot no way in the world if we want to actually win against the better sides can we play both.
yep to be fair he had a decent game but hes constantly shown good games a few and far between.
been my belief for a fair while now that all of nahas king and edwards must be upgraded on. ive seen absolutely nothing so far this yr to make me change my mind.

I for one am thrilled with this detailed reply.
How about you show this much detail for his next bad game?
:wallywink :wallywink :banghead :banghead
-
Damo, you an Edwards fan? Only position I feel comfortable with him in is as a goal sneak. He was good there as a youngster.
-
fair call davey. it's a position where you don't need a lot of possessions to do the damage on the scoreboard and would be utilising his strengths.
-
Anyone seen a gauntlet lying around?
-
He was good there as a youngster.
So you think he was good as a youngster. Honestly, WGAF?

If you read ALL my posts Damo you would of noticed that I was more descriptive of how well he went on the night...
One decent game does not make him a star.....pull your head in... :wallywink :thumbsup

Nup, definitely not an Edwards fan. I actually think his best role in a grand final winning team could be as a specialist substitute. He could provide a lot of run late in a game when others are tiring.
The thing im not a fan of is people that post the same thing 500+ times. It gets boring to read, yeah yeah, we all get that WAT aint a fan of Edwards.
I actually thought it was a big effort by WAT to say he was going to post a detailed response and also complimented his game. Then it never came. I comment on that and get told to "pull my head in".
Maybe WAT should pull his head in on the next batch of Edwards hatrid posts. Just a thought.
