Funny you say that. Initially I clicked on the tweet and it showed everyone's comments. Now they've disappeared and it only shows retweets and favorites. Mmmmm. Interesting.

Oh and here's what the Australian is saying
Richmond football boss Craig Cameron quits club
Greg Denham
February 10, 2013 6:34PM
RICHMOND has began a thorough search for a new general manger of football operation following the shock resignation of Craig Cameron.
Cameron informed the Tigers that he is seeking a challenge outside the AFL, and will soon commence work as chief executive of BC3 Thoroughbreds.
The highly respected football administrator has headed Richmond's football department for the past five years after a stint as Melbourne recruiting manager.

so can we safely say this resignation has nothing to do with our club being immersed in this drug in sport scandal and its just Graig moving to greener pastures?

Feeling gutted right now!

RICHMOND football boss Craig Cameron has quit to join the racing industry.
Cameron is understood to have been contemplating the switch for some time and informed the Tigers over the weekend that he will be joining BC3 Thoroughbreds.
The Tigers are confident his departure will not impact the club's start to the new season.
Cameron joined the Tigers in 2007 from Melbourne where he'd been the Demons chief recruiting officer.

Sad day. ;D
P. S. get Balme
-
Is Craig Cameron's departure a good or bad outcome???
-
Bit surprised about this i must say. By no means irreplaceable, im sure most will understate what he has put in place, he s left a decent pair of shoes to fill :shh
-
And Neil Balme will be back shortly, back at home in his rightful place, running the Richmond Football Department, like it should have always been.

Its Balmy's job. If they appoint some wanker I'll be very dismayed. Vote 1 Balmy!

They may have to appoint someone else if Balme doesn't want the job or more to the point won't break his current contract to take the job
-
"Let me just say I am dismayed that the RFC has seen fit to appoint a wanker. Bu having been given the opportunity I will do my utmost to ensure all my mates get cushy jobs and uphold this most greatest of traditions at Richmond" – Ramps, Football Manager, RFC

Brace yourselves btw.
Are we going to be a player down shortly?
-
This is a great day for our football club.
-
Id take Balmey in a heartbeat,But you have to wonder if this current scandal may lead back to Geelong in regards to Mark Thompson,s connection with the "weapon"while as geelong coach. Not saying Balmey is directly involved or anything, but a distraction nonetheless for him and us if he was to comeback.

Cameron resigns as GM of football to take up CEO role
By richmondfc.com.au
8:01pm AEDT Sunday, February 10, 2013
Richmond General Manager of Football Craig Cameron has resigned to take up a new role as CEO of BC3 Thoroughbreds.
The Tigers’ chief executive officer, Brendon Gale, said Cameron had done an outstanding job in his time with the Club.
“Craig has overseen significant change in our football program in his five years in the role. There have been important changes to our coaching, development, list management and forward scouting structures under his guidance,” Gale said.
“Craig advised us recently that he was looking at taking a different direction with his career, and we understand his decision, wish him well for the future and thank him for the great contribution he has made to the Club.
“Our plans are locked in for the season ahead, so the timing of this decision will allow us to undertake a rigorous process to identify the right person to lead the football department into the future.”
Cameron said it had been a difficult decision - one he had been considering for some time - but, ultimately, he felt the timing was right.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Club, and I want to thank President Gary March and the board, Brendon Gale, Damien Hardwick, the players, and everyone I have worked with so closely in the football department, for their support,” Cameron said.
“Everyone at this Club is working very hard to deliver the fans on-field success, and I wish them all the very best for the future.”

Surprised at how many people are dissappointed with this news. CC never seemed to have a passion for the job doesn't surprise me he's decided to jump ship halfway through the job. Good riddance.
Pretty gutless to take the pay cheque all off season if he was thinking about the move for some time.
Easily replaceable in my book. Only looks like he's done a good job because he's come off the back of a Miller run football department.

personally i find it unimaginable that it seems you
are delighting in the fact that there is something
sinister about to go down at the RFC...
actually as a fellow supporter its disgraceful or perhaps
it says more about you as person/supporter.

thats for that clarification Gerks.
its seems that a PORT troll would be wise to
out the front of Port Powers HQ rattling tins
to stave of their outrageous debt.
-
Appeared to be the weak link at the club.

Reading a couple of your recent posts Rogerd3, sounds like you're/you've been ill mate. Dont let this type of innuendo stress you out. Try relax, heal and enjoy the footy thats about to start(at last!) and the improvement we will see in the tigs this season. If we lose a player to this scandal we deal with it and move on, 1 player doesnt make or break a club.
As for CC quitting, Im not fussed(wish him well) Gale and co will keep the ship sailing until we get the right person for the job at seasons end.

Yeah, I can't wait for it to hit the news. Richmond are a poo club (we rape you at the trade table every year) so it's no surprise you blokes may have another scandal to deal with. :lol

Cocky

Just because Coach used to play and Coach at Port Adelaide, doesn't mean he supports them. I know for a fact that he has a house full of all sorts of Tiger Memorabilia and I know he doesn't like to brag about how long he has been a club member but lets just say that when the Vickers Gin sign was exposed during the Punt Road Oval redevelopment, It brought back a lot of fond memories to him.
Apologies Coach if I have let anything slip that is not already in the public domain or on Wikipedia.

:lol

I've never coached Port, what rubbish
Anyway, this about Craig so let's keep it that way. If rogerd or anyone else wants to have a crack then do it in private like a bloke instead of sniping on here without even revealing names.

Apologies coach. It was my understanding that they recruited you after they heard your half time Solo and Banana's pep talk below.

Do you really think Danny Frawley has time to get on here?
-
thank god for sml mercies.
based purely on his performance at the club it was only a matter of time before the club looked to replace him.
the other one we all pat on the back in jackson doesnt have a good record either. we can and must do better.
simply put both were improvements on previous regimes not hard to do. but both are hardly or have been hardly good enough when compared to their peers.
-
AFAIK Cameron's equine job is just a cover. I heard he is actually going on secret location filming for a remake of "The Goodies" TV series where he will play the character "Tim" which was originally played by Tim Brooke-Taylor.

as for this thread i hope the club can a suitable replacement
that further lays the foundations for success.

to think you are a moderator on here, it beggars belief.
For the record, WP and I are the only mods here. Mods names are a different colour in the user online list (red) and have different coloured 'squares' under their name to the left of their posts (red-orange).
Anyway back to the topic ppl!
