"Cash strapped, souless, homeless, shin splittered Kangaroos Suffered a major blow when gob pooe forward Lindsay Thomas was handed a two-match ban for headbutting Giants youngster Jacob Townsend"
I may have doctored that article a little, try and guess where
Edit: Slight title change so this can double as the 'official' game thread.

i love n0rt

Have been our bogey team, I feel. Our time to tear them a new one!!! :gotigers

His name is Jake Townsend and he's not that young??? And the e on poo, HUN wouldn't make that error

I hate that prick. I was looking forward to Morro tea bagging him.
-
Can't hurt, but part of me would rather plan North at their best to better assess our own team's progress.
Only five wins to their names, but these guys remain a very competitive team. Almost remind me of Richmond from last year - good % but always falling short.
-

Yer but now we can laugh at Morro paying $4 per pinch on Harvey. $3 if he pleads guilty. Maybe he can donate it to the Send Norf to Tassie Fund. (SNTF)
-
Tassie is a nice place but if we don't take care of it it will be ruined forever
They saved the Franklin, and found a cure for the devil's face cancer — introducing Norf will just undo all this good work
Should send Norf to Christmas Island with the crabs
-
The bookies have us clear favourites again this week ...
Richmond $1.45
North Melb. $2.70

Gerks Naru would be a better bet as the queue jumpers sorry, I mean Asylum seekers only entertainment there is watching Seagulls crap on the camp commandant's car. Watching Nort play would at least be a slight improvement on that. We don't want to encourage them too much after all.

Should send Norf to Christmas Island with the crabs
Surely the local population doesn't deserve a crab outbreak

Lindsay Thomas has accepted his two week penalty so he's definitely out.

Preview: Kangaroos v Tigers
By Nick Bowen
afl.com.au
12:25pm AEST Tuesday, July 2, 2013
SUMMARY
This might be a clash of 12th versus sixth but it shapes as one of matches of the round. North can all but kiss its finals chances goodbye if it drops this game, while the Tigers have a great opportunity to continue their push for a top-four spot. Richmond will deservedly start favourite, but North's good recent record against the Tigers will give it confidence it can cause an upset.

Is there an official thread for this or is this it?
Just saw sookee boomer saying how this was a big game for them etc etc, I hate this bloody club nought....
I hope we smash em by 10 goals and end their stuffen season
Trust these spineless cretins to come out and declare its their grand final, its a huge game for our season....
Im going to lock myself in the cellar until saturday then I will be unleashed into the nought cheer squad like a rabid animal clawing them to death :shh
-
Yep, official game day thread plus your favourite sledge.
What I love about Boomer Harvey is how he claims to be a team man when it's really just about him.
Remember when he bagged all the young leaders at the club.
That's what I call sh1tboner spirit :thumbsup
-
Norf already pencilled in a win against us and looking to the Lions game.
::)
Please belt them Tiges.
-
based on the last 3 meetings at the start of the yr i had this game pencilled in as a 50/50 game. in my humble opinion it is till very much a 50/50 game.
unlike the saints last week where they fielded one of the shortest teams in living memory structurally this mob will field players in areas where we are light on. that is tall forwards tall defenders and a very good ruckman.
for me this game is a proper indicator for me to judge real improvement because they regularly test us where we are weakest.
4 point loss 13 point loss and a 9 point win in the last 3 meetings shows why this is a 50/50 game.
imo if we go into this game with just the 5 talls like we did last week we will pay a hefty price.if the mids get beat we get thrashed that sort of structure leave you incapable of implementing any sort of plan B.
For me this game the carlton game and freo syd, haw will be the real indicator of what improvement we have made this yr.
if people think this game will be a walk over i think they are in for a rude shock.

That's how I feel. The fact they are saying that I find it insulting.
We have done our time,
our time is now! nothing should override the hunger and intensity we have in the remaining games of the season as we count down the games to the promised land finally! Bring on your mini GF nought, we're waiting!

I agree with you.
I thought we had the game in the bag last year until Petrie put on a show in the last.
If we win this,we are certainties of finals.
We have to play a game like we did against West Coast.Run hard, tackle hard.Make them accountable and squash their space and counter attack.

Roos-Tigers rivalry has ‘extra spice’
By Nick Bowen
afl.com.au
5:43pm AEST Tuesday, July 2, 2013
NORTH Melbourne's rivalry with Richmond has had a dash of extra spice in recent years, veteran Roo Brent Harvey says.
When Brad Scott and Damien Hardwick took over the respective coaching reins at North and Richmond in late 2009, they both inherited young lists that needed time and careful management to develop into future forces.
The Roos and Tigers' subsequent progress has often been compared in the media as they have raced each other up the ladder.
North beat the Tigers to the finals, when they reached their first finals series since 2008 last season. But as the Roos' 2013 finals chances have faded after a 5-8 start, the Tigers are 9-4 and well placed to challenge for a top-four spot.
Harvey said North now took added motivation into clashes with their contemporaries at Punt Road and would do so again at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
"There is (extra spice) because everyone always compares – or a couple of years ago they always compared – the Kangaroos to Richmond and Melbourne for some reason, with their lists," Harvey said.
"When they put Melbourne ahead of us and Richmond ahead of us you just sort of think, 'OK no worries' and then you just go about your business.
"So every time you play against one of those teams you really want to prove something."
Harvey said this Saturday's clash was part of a critical month for North when it hoped to level its win-loss ledger at 8-8.
After Richmond, North plays the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba and Carlton on a Friday night at Etihad Stadium.
Harvey said if North won all three of those games it could start to eye the finals realistically, but not beforehand.
Harvey said teammate Ben Cunnington had completed training on Tuesday after missing the past two rounds for family reasons, but was no certainty to return against Richmond.
"The boys have been absolutely fantastic support for him, so if he's in a space where his mind is right to play I am sure he can come straight back into our football team because he's a very good player," Harvey said.
Harvey said defender Scott McMahon (ankle) was likely to return against Richmond if he got through North's main training session on Wednesday.

Rance is going to smash him and make him cry like he has never done in the past, everyone just has to believe and get behind him, but not too closely behind him as Rance is still a bit nervous about that.

I was just crunching some stats and worked out that if we score more than them then we stand a good chance of winning this one.

Boys,
This is one of those games where next week or the week after or the week after that do not matter.
This gimme a handout, spineless, penniless, soulless, gutless feel sorry for me Skataboner, nothing of a nothing skata of an organisation need to be shown why we despite our years of hibernation are a club of character, meaning, substance, identity, passion, power and importance both on and off the field.
We need to beat these guys no matter what to not only nail the coffin shut on their paltry, underachieving season but to show them that they have absolutely no influence, relevance and significance and that they are the most inept and pathetic footy club over the journey and long history of VFL/AFL footy.
A win is not just symbolic of the four points that we will receive in our quest for finals footy thisyear it should serve as a symbolic reference that we as a club should learn to be and become arrogant once again as in the past and that we have capabilities that other major clubs like the Pies, Carlscum's, and those who have KIA's with regos of AOD 964 and that our opponent is merely the token 3:15 bashing up of the nerdy kid on the way to the bigger 3:30 fight on the school oval.
Nought need to be taught a lesson of humility and respect , that those things are earnt and that grovelling and making out that being underprivileged, unwanted, unloved and unnecessary are the real reason why they are the nought footy club they are and not anything remotely resembling a powerhouse footy club with robust membership, crowds, finances and footy relevance.
They see this as a mini GF I see it as another opportunity to beat a minnow side well below us on the ladder, with the only difference being these guys have priors against us and boy how I want payback to be dished out on this nothing organisation to make that Brissy and Carlton game they are looking ahead to seem like the ordinary run of your mill game leading up to a quiet, uneventful and futile 2013 for these nobodies.
Richmond Footy Club I have invested my life in supporting you through thick and thin and whilst we inevitably in the future it seems we will have bigger fish to fry Saturday presents an opportunity to take out the trash, flush the vomit and excretement from Etihad Satdium and establish a turning point in the history of the RFC as well as the history in RFC v Skataboner clashes where the balance of power shifts back to Punt Rd and they wallow in the depths of anonymity and irrelevance where they truly belong and where their ultimate existence lays.
I have my ticket for aisle 46 for Saturday in amongst my fellow yellow and black throng and if there is a day to assert our dominance on this nothing club from the stands this is it. The rest is up to the 22 selected and I am sure they will not disappoint us loyal and passionate fans.
Eat em alive tigers.

-
North over the years have developed into the flat track bullies of the competition and have shown on repeated occasions they can't beat sides above them. They are a team which we don't want to end up like. We need to show the competition that we are not flat track bullies and that we are more than capable of beating sides that are in the same weight class as us or higher. Critical to win this match not only to play finals but to gain the respect of the competition.
-
Tuckerbag, I agree 100% with all the sentiments you have expressed about this soulless, penniless and gutless rabble of a club, except for the bit about them being THE most inept and pathetic club in the history of the VFL/AFL. Sure, they are right up there, or down there as the case may be :lol. But surely that "honour" must be divided equally between St.Kilda and the Western Bullfrogs.
-
Slightly concerned this week for a change

Whoever you are Tucker, don't go changing.
I for one, have become tired of teams waving to us as they gone down the ladder below us and then back up above us a few years later.
We have permanently been stuck between 12-9th for ages and now is our chance to wave at Norf and thank them for the finals spot they left vacant from last year.
Can anyone remember the look on Brad Scott's face late in the final qtr when the Crows hit the front?
I thought he was going to burst into tears.
I would love to see that look on his face at the 20th minute mark of the 1st qtr when we pile on the 7th consecutive goal of the game.

How pathetic,
You guys are destined to be cellar dwellers for all of eternity while we are heading for a bright and promising future.
30 years of grief and youll have another 30 before you win a flag, time to face facts tigers supporters

Hahahahaha.
What they teach dogs at Lort Smith to use the computer.
Good for you.
Now go to aisle 24 for Saturday with all three of your mates and call yourselves a "cheer squad".
You blokes had the greatest player in the modern era in Carey and that still hasn't translated to off field success. You'll always be a wandering nomad homeless footy club that nobody cares about.
The turds I did on New Year's Day wherever they are whatever they are doing have more relevance than Nought, Bellerive, Sydney, Canberra, Ballarat, Gold Coast, Arden St outfit that you and some stray pubic hairs support.
You can only dream to be relevant let alone have meaning.
If the 12 old VFL clubs were Brady Bunch kids Nought would be Jan, no identity, whingey with no class manipulative with no assertion and wishing they were someone else.
See ya True Bloo Poo.

What Nought milestone is it this week?
Sam Wright reach puberty, Scott Thompson wiped his anus, you finally have $1 in your club bank account. The banner is being made with new crepe paper. Brad Scott succesfully requested to have the roof closed.
Your funny pal.
I promise if I ever encounter a Nought supporter I'll be nice.
Out you come
Out you come
Out you come to play
The stands are empty
The terraces are bare
But we play anyway
Narrow losses by giving up leads
Doesn't matter anyway
Nought Melbourne fans are hard to spot
When they come out to play. :thumbsup
-
Hahaha the only thing I use a tuckerbag for is for vomiting after listening to your song
Your best player is daniel jackson ::) and you havnt been relevant since 1980
I enjoy the fact that we have so many home grounds, means I can take my cardboard box wherever I go :shh
Miletsone this week? The bootstudders daughters, best friends cousins former roomate 2nd game :thumbsup

I thought your stomachs would be used to eating stale dog food and rat excretement in the sewers and washing it down with normal human waste from established above ground suburbia. :help
Great I love trolls especially those that get their facts wrong. :wallywink
We were still relevant in 1982 but being a Nought supporter and homeless you do lose track of time.
Just curious what are the sturdiest forms of cardboard boxes you call home?
Will they have a picture of the heifers on the banner or will they come out mooing before the team runs out udders hanging? :thumbsup
Do you call going on holiday sleeping on a park bench? :thumbsup

Interesting. I would have thought supporters would be the thing that makes you relevant, without them who the hell cares? Question you need to ask yourself, have N0rt EVER been relevant.

Newman wary of North
By richmondfc.com.au
3:18pm AEST Thursday, July 4, 2013
Defender Chris Newman says Richmond is not underestimating the capabilities of North Melbourne ahead of this weekend’s clash at Etihad Stadium.
Newman, 31, said the Kangaroos’ record of five wins and eight losses is not an accurate reflection of their ability as a team.

North wary of new Tiger Edwards
Guy Hand
WWOS.ninemsn.com.au
13:32 AEST Fri Jul 5 2013
North Melbourne coach Brad Scott knows more than anyone how Aaron Edwards can turn an AFL match.
And he is wary of what the ex-Kangaroos forward may turn on for new club Richmond against his side at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
A mercurial player whose flashes of brilliance and big goal hauls can win games, he has also been anonymous and inconsistent in just as many others.
But he appears to have found a new level of consistency and involvement for the Tigers - with two outstanding performances against the Western Bulldogs and St Kilda in successive weeks since breaking into Richmond's side.
North Melbourne made the decision to let the 29-year-old go at the end of last season - Scott wanting to give others like emerging Aaron Black and Majak Daw a chance to develop.
But he is thrilled Edwards, who still lives with Kangaroos player Levi Greenwood and is fondly thought of at his old club, has found a niche at Richmond.
He believes Edwards has added another dimension to an already dangerous forward line.
"I'm really pleased to see him get another opportunity at AFL level - I think he deserves it," Scott said on Friday.
"But if you look at our side now - we'd have love to have kept him - but we really felt if Aaron Edwards stayed on our list, then Aaron Black would have been playing the VFL.
"Majak Daw wouldn't have had his opportunity this year. We're fortunate in terms of the number of key position forwards we've had on our list.
"It was disappointing to lose Azza, but we had to keep moving forward. I hope he doesn't hurt us."
Just like Richmond counterpart Damien Hardwick, Scott believes the two clubs have been developing similarly for several years.
But while the Tigers are comfortably floating in the top eight, North's 5-8 win-loss record has been dotted with narrow losses which could have been parlayed into a far higher ladder position.
"They've really improved and we think we've improved, without getting the results. This game will probably tell us a lot," Scott said.
Richmond will again be without ruckman Ivan Maric with a groin injury, but first-year revelation Nick Vlastuin returns from his shin problem,
Without suspended small forward Lindsay Thomas, the Kangaroos have elevated midfielder Ben Cunnington to the side.

Housemates Levi Greenwood and Aaron Edwards to fight it out when North Melbourne and Richmond do battle
Daryl Timms
From: Herald Sun
July 06, 2013
FRIENDSHIP will stay at home when North Melbourne's Levi Greenwood and former teammate Aaron Edwards cross paths at Etihad Stadium.
The pair share a bayside apartment and have stuck together even after Edwards was off-loaded by the Roos to Richmond during last year's trade period.
While they split the household duties, with Greenwood nominating his mate as having superior culinary skills, their Super Coach selections dominate their footy talk as they don't discuss details of their clubs.
Edwards admitted that months ago he pencilled in the clash as a must game so he could line up against his old side, but for a while it looked as though neither he nor Greenwood were looking at gaining promotion from the VFL ranks.
Four weeks ago, Edwards got his first senior game for the Tigers, while Greenwood got back into the North side for the first time this season just two weeks ago.
"We were in the same spot at the start of the season, when we weren't getting a look in, but all of sudden it turned around," Greenwood said.
Edwards said it was a hard first half of the season.
"Luckily we didn't have a dog," Edwards joked. "It was frustrating but we both got in, and if I had one game earmarked, it would definitely be this one.
"I suppose it's just another game, but there's a more exciting element to it because you're playing against your mates. It's nothing personal but it's just an exciting game first up against your old team, the staff and coaches.
"I talked to Shaun Grigg when he played his first game against Carlton and he said it was just a bit weird and it will probably be the same for me.
"They (North) only have to play against the one person, but I have to play against the whole team."
Edwards said Greenwood had the last say in the cooking roster by preparing the same pre-game meal - spaghetti bolognese with broccoli, a serve of garlic bread and a small pack of Maltesers.
"He can get me this week if he wants," Edwards said with a laugh.
"As far as the best cook goes, I'm probably a bit more adventurous and am prepared to stuff something right up, but I've been going OK lately. You don't need a cookbook these days because you just use Google."
Greenwood and Edwards crossed paths earlier in the season in the VFL and the Roo recalled that his mate tried to take him out.
"I haven't forgot that," Greenwood said. "There will be no cheap shots and when we are out there, we are out there with all guns blazing."
Greenwood said it would be funny when they returned home after the game because one would be happy and the other sad.
Lamb shanks, cooked by Edwards, were on the menu last night but it will be Tigers and Kangaroos tomorrow.

Hope I'm wrong but I can see all these hype for Edwards being for nothing once he has a stinker today

he is a specialist super sub now..

is there a late change as Arnott was out warming up with Ellis and Morris
-
Probably precautionary
-
On the telecast kingy just said we can win the premiership this year don't worry about that,
Mark today down as a 10 goal loss
-
Great tackle TV :clapping.
Argh .... should have at least made the distance let alone not get it on target as well :huh
-
So Floss gets driven forward in the tackle - no free - but we get pinged for a sling tackle ::)
If that wasn't holding the ball then there's no holding the ball.
-
Sooky sooky Boomer :wallywink
-
We are bombing to Jack too much. He had 3 defenders on him that time and Newy still bombed it long to him.
Bloody goal on the rebound to them after being in our forward half for 5 minutes :banghead

-
Lucky they are missing. We can't score with Hansen floating in front of Jack. Now we are can't get it out of our defensive 50 :P.
0 - 9
-
Well done Kingy :clapping. Ellis goal :gotigers.
Rich 6
Nth 9
Jacko limping off (ankle?)
-
Our forward entries are pathetic. 8 inside 50s for just one goal. We need to control the ball at HF.
-
Rushed point to us.
7 - 9
-
Any streams of the game - its not on Sportlemon
-
Well that's a gift. North turnover from the kick-in. Dusty finds Az Edwards 30m out.
But misses everything :scream.
-
Any streams of the game - its not on Sportlemon
Not that I know of Ox.
12 pointer to the Roos. Az misses everything and North then run it up for a goal :banghead
7 - 15
-
This quarter is - we get it forward then forward again but can't get a goal and then eventually we get burnt on the counter.
Kingy has a tough short on the boundary. OOTF.
-
Cheers mate.
Dont worry.
North are poo
-
Courageous mark by Ellis. Off with the wobbles though after his head hit Firrito's thigh.
Jacko is back on btw.
-
Cheers mate.
Dont worry.
North are poo
They are but we are poo today in front of the sticks :banghead.
And another goal to them after we miss at the other end :banghead.
-
Jacko goal running to 50m. Finally :gotigers
Rich 14
North 21
-
1/4 time
Richmond 2.2-14
North Melb. 3.3-21
Goals: Jackson, Ellis
Ellis subbed off with concussion for White.
-
Every bounce of the ball has gone roos way, nothing going right especially now with Ellis off. Feel its just going to be one of those days
-
Geez that was frustrating! :scream Two goals they got from going coast to coast after bad set shots by us. In fact all their goals came from rebounds out of our forward line (Where are our smalls/crumbers?) We are pressing up defensively as we should but when we get a shot we can't nail them and that gifts possession back to them and they are waltzing up the other end.
Thank goodness for Cotch and Kingy and our defence. Keeping us in it.
-
Every bounce of the ball has gone roos way, nothing going right especially now with Ellis off. Feel its just going to be one of those days
North's first quarters are their best. Hopefully that's true today and we can sort out our forward entries as they've been crap.
-
Punch the stuffing footy FFS!
:banghead :banghead :banghead
-
It's not our defenders fault Lloyd. It's the ease in which the ball is coming into the North's forward line as opposed to slop we are dishing up at the other end.
Titch misses from the boundary trying to centre it.
Can we actually hit a forward target please going inside 50.
Conca now misses.
16 - 27
-
Incorrect disposal non-existent.
-
Why are we continually bombing it long in when it isn't #$%@ working?! :banghead. Mix it up Tiges and work and control the footy.
And again North rebound coast to coast for a goal :banghead
16 - 33
-
We are stuffed.
Too many passengers and no one prepared to man up.
:banghead :banghead :banghead
-
Now North get a free and 50m gifted goal :banghead
Why do we always play crap against North?! :banghead
-
We look like a bottom four team.
What a stuffing joke!
-
LOL kicking the point post. But it's a throw in so we don't get the free.
Ellis subbed off for good.
-
Getting smashed
-
Post is in play, thus ball has crossed line. Then cheap kick in our D50 to them. Glad I couldn't make this game. Switching it off.
-
Do we want to play finals?????
What a stuffing disgrace of a performance.
They need to get a stuffing rocket up our arses.
And Dimma needs to demand a stuffing yelp from every player on the field.
It's an utter debacle.
-
Dimma has to change tact. We are getting sucker punched on the rebound as we can't score despite get the ball forward. Need to push the mids back to force North to kick through traffic and then try to hurt them on the rebound. Need to do something as pressing up isn't working if we can't score cause they are pushing numbers back waiting for the missed shot.
Now we are becoming undisciplined. Giving away stupid frees and just bombing the ball aimlessly in frustration.
16 - 52
-
Midfield is being obliterated
-
Omg.... 1 metre out chap and batch try and hit it thru, both miss it and Tarantino with the cheapie, game over
-
They r breaking our tackles like we're stuffing school boys
-
This is a replay of the Essendon game. It's got all too hard and we've turned to water too easily.
16 - 64
7 goals to zip this quarter.
-
Have we dropped Lid's behind the ball yet. We need to change things up.
-
Its all good and fine when were winning games but why the STUFF cant we stop a run on ?>!!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!
-
NOT ONE PLAYER CANT PUNCH THE stuffing BALL TO FORCE A BEHIND!
:banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead
:banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead
stuff this poo I'm leaving.
-
Just too good for us ATM, unless we start winning some contests changes won't do poo
-
Have we dropped Lid's behind the ball yet. We need to change things up.
Lids was behind the ball in the first quarter. He was moved into the middle this quarter.
Geez I hate losing to this mob :banghead.
It's groundhog day every play. Get it forward, get 2-3 stoppages but can't score, and then they burn us on the counter.
-
Just too good for us ATM, unless we start winning some contests changes won't do poo
True but structurally and tactically we are being beaten as well. Been sucker punched on the counter all day.
-
We don't deserve finals. What an absolute rabble.
-
Player all on his own in 50 and choppy bombs it long to a pack of course. Nth defenders are loving this.
Mt they r working so much harder than us
-
Mark it Dusty, it was missing :P
-
C'mon Vickery out body them and mark the ball.
-
7 of the last 8 inside 50s but no goals. Sums up the game. Too predictable by lazily bombing it.
-
Our leaders have gone missing........
..........AGAIN!!!!!!!
-
We don't deserve finals. What an absolute rabble.
Please post in the don't deserve it thread
-
where was our defensive crumbers for when the ball hits the ground.
-
What a surprise ::). They get a goal after the ball was in our forward line for ages without us scoring.
-
Well. We are seeing what we are truely made of. 54 points down in a final like game tells me that we are simply not ready ! sure we get beat saints and bulldogs by 10 goals but that means nothing. This next half will define our season, we have to come out a completely different side next half.
-

Poor kick by White but to his credit at least his creating some run off the half back line. We are missing Houli on setting up play.
-

Being n fwd line means stuff all,we don't even look like scoring tbh. haven't seen us pwn3d like this for a while

You get away with just lazily bombing the ball long against the short Bulldog and Saint defenders. We've been tactically destroyed today and we haven't adjusted to North plonking a spare tall defender down back. No working the ball forward to half-forward and then controlling possession looking for a lead up mark 40m by a midsized player.
-
disgraceful.. no plan b.. bad coaching.. no leaders.. and poo umpires means se r stuffed

Thats the truth but then the killer is no one stuffing runs back, 5 -6 north players all sprint down the ground whilst we have 1 or 2.
-
Need to make the score respectable as % will be important. Lets face it every ricochet every rebound has gone their way. Its like a perfect storm, Roos can do no wrong, we just need to minimise the damage as the game is beyond our reach.
-
Jake Batchellor and Stephenson having a shocker and costing us badly.
-
Tigers not working anywhere near hard enough when they don't have posession. Poor inside50 delivery and nobody standing up. Vickery weak, Riewoldt playing for frees again, back line insipid and slow, nobody running back to support.
Gonna be ugly...

I wouldnt speak too soon, We all know north can crumble to nothing. I still have a slight shimmer of hope

That's pretty much it, sure we could work harder but everything is just running perfectly for them, 20 players around the ball, and it continually seems to land in a roos players lap. Lots of luck but u make ur own luck, we've still gifted them several dumb ones.
-

True. That old fashioned suck punch. A common tactic in Soccer. One side parks the bus putting numbers behind the ball and then waits for the other side to over-commit while attacking and then the first side hits them on the counter with open space to run into and scores.

Most teams do that to us, our game plan is built on possession and conducive to sides playing us like this. Need to be smarter with our ball use and our zone is being picked apart by their run and footskills

White on the run and misses.
We get it back and Morris finally goals :gotigers.

That's true but we have adjusted in past games. Hopefully the early signs in this quarter is us finally adjusting.
Need to kick the goals though. 3.9 is obviously not good enough especially with the sitters we have missed ::). Should have 3 goals this qtr already instead of 1.2.
-
This is very disappointing to say the least!
-
Dusty now misses. Should be 4 goals this qtr.
The goals are between the big sticks Tigers :banghead
-
We're making Hansen look like Carey today ::).
-
Vickery so weak...
-
Looked like we got a lucky bounce their otherwise kangaroos would of got a goal.
-
Anyone else in love with Batch, poor turnover.....
-
Pathetic Richmond!
We are the annual Boomer Harvey charity game :banghead
-
How long before we decide to make Hanson accountable?
-
Anyone else in love with Batch, poor turnover.....
I actually used to be, ready for grimes now please.
-
On my 5th.
I want to laugh now...
Where's Tucker???
-
4 more inside 50s yet we're 50 pts down ::)
Dimma needs to try something drastic. Move Jack out to the wing and Lids forward. Try a more mobile agile and quicker forward line.
-
Has Stephenson had a touch?
-
On my 5th.
I want to laugh now...
Where's Tucker???

We actually got a mark deep inside 50 but it's Big O in the pocket. Another point.

Nothing going right for us today, all round shocker
-
Our tap work in the ruck has been terrible.
-
Another goal on the rebound to North. Must be over 10 of those to them today. They've taken their chances and we haven't. Only got ourselves to blame. As they say bad kicking is bad footy.
And now the floodgates open again ::)
-
We've really missed Houli's footskills off half-back today. Batch can't do it.
-
Lids hits the post. It's one of those days. Nothing is going right.
-
On the positives this performance should make us fired up for next week against the GC.

North Melb. 3.3 11.6 15.8-98
Goals: Morris 2, Jackson, King

That sums up the day right there
-
The bounce of the ball the Roos way today is nothing short of freakish. Usually in a game it would go both ways but I cant remember seeing so much luck go the way of one team.
-
Morris- our most consistent player above everyone.
Hope he get the b&f
-
Crowd 45k. 30k disappointed Tiger supporters.
North have had 60 more possies; We've had more inside 50s 43- 37.
Hansen has had 6 marks off Tiger kicks ::).
-
Jack on the wing this qtr.
Got to love how we get pinged for deliberate out of bounds for things that are let go in other games and by other sides ::).
-
God so many spectators.
-
White goal on the run from the boundary :gotigers.
45 - 98
9 to go ;D
-
You wouldn't have known Titch was playing. Mind you he has a number of mates in that category.
Two Tigers fall over on the wing and more charity for Boomer ::).
-
Sick to death of seeing every 2 on 1 that involves Rance end up with 2 tigers on the ground, is there a more clumsy oaf that has ever played this game?
My god...
-
Cant wait to hear some excuses in the press conference

Cotch limping off. Just great!

100 pt flogging coming up, they are lining up now

There is no excuse for this poo, none.

Can't be up every week, occasionally you will have a downer, just unfortunate that we got nort on a day where everything went right for them and everything went wrong for us. Harsh lesson but poo happens.
We must respond next week and win, do that and no damage, lose next week and things begin to look shaky.

Character test will be to see if they come out shattered next week.
Need to approach every game as tho we have things to prove, which they didn't today.
Seems like the prep for the Tiges was based on the assumption we would win

Mate, every team bar the super teams have an occasional downer, how we respond at a bogey venue against a bogey side is more important than what's happened today. Win next week and u look at today as a valuable lesson going into finals with no psychological damage, lose again next week and all of a sudden the belief we have been building starts dissipating.
-
I enjoy your optimistic approach, mate.

Admittedly It doesnt happen often so bottle it ;)
If we don't rebound next week I'll be sooking it up with the best of them don't worry about that
-
I was really ticked off today but I have to say sometimes you have these abreations.
Whilst I don't expect to win the flag this year I cast my mind back to last year when we trounced the hawks by as many points and no one expected it.
Maybe this is the reality check we needed before the harder games start
-
lolz.
Whether we needed it or not -WE GOT IT

I was really ticked off today but I have to say sometimes you have these abreations.
Whilst I don't expect to win the flag this year I cast my mind back to last year when we trounced the hawks by as many points and no one expected it.
Maybe this is the reality check we needed before the harder games start
Geelong...Collingwood......Fremantle.......Essendon.....North....reality checks abound. We are a middle of the table side.

None of that here thanks. We're only to point out what Hardwick doesn't know but was so painstakingly obvious to us and simply rectified, and how Arsebury, some guy named Elten, and Griffiths' massive influence at VFL will take us to the promised land.

Well, if one or two of them don't stand up we are rooted :(

Can't be up every week, occasionally you will have a downer, just unfortunate that we got nort on a day where everything went right for them and everything went wrong for us. Harsh lesson but poo happens.
We must respond next week and win, do that and no damage, lose next week and things begin to look shaky.
Character test will be to see if they come out shattered next week.
Need to approach every game as tho we have things to prove, which they didn't today.
Seems like the prep for the Tiges was based on the assumption we would win
Next week is a very big game in the context of the character and culture we are trying to build.
I thought every week was. Especially this week.
I thought you only wanted us to respond against the Scum?
No.
Every week but especially & crucially against the Scum.

Anyone for some McBean fwd line x-factor?
Couldn't do any worse than the poo served up today.

apparently Hardwick went bezerk after the game.. i hope he was screa ming At himself becausee he is mainly responsible for this
-
Edwards doing media. stuff me.
Stephenson being on an AFL list. stuff me.
King playing 100 games. stuff me.
Hardwick's ability to produce a plan b, c or d on game days. stuff me.
Golden opportunity for a Top 4 finish. stuff me.

We didnt want it as much today. There were a few who tried - White, Foley, Morris. Rance and Jackson at times.
The rest were largely appalling.
Stephenson, Dea, Junk time Jack and Vlas were completely ineffective around the ground.
Batch was a liability.
Both Edwards, Vickery, Conca and Lids were disappointing.
Cotchin Martin and Grigg got a bit of the pill but had little impact.

Yep.
Sent the strongest message to the team that this was going to be a walk-in-the-park win.
Dropped Arnot, the hard-nut kamikaze, to bring in Vlastuin, who got 6 possessions before injury and came straight back in.
Leave out Tuck, our hardest inside mid because Cotchin and Foley are enough.
Got well ahead of himself and sold the team on the same message that we could relax and ignore what the opposition was going to bring.
Edit: Ohh and here's a news flash, Batchelor is NOT a TALL. You might get away with it a few times but as a rule he will get flogged by a strong-marking, tall forward.
But hey we can take the gamble eh coach.
