Wants out apparently
-
Is it 3 or 4 knee recos he's had?
-
Give him 3 years like Knights. I look forward to him playing his first and only RFC game in June 2017
-
I like the idea. Knights needs a long term friend in the rehab group.
-
We served our time with Cogs, he'll be given a wide berth by the Tiges. And rightly so.
-
He wants out ? What , Freo not given you enough support over three years of rehab and three years of paying your salary with zero return for the club ? Now you're finally fit and you're gonna walk out.
Good bloke
-
Is this a gee up thread
-
As I said in another thread, about the same risk as Knights but a much bigger reward. 5 years younger, massive potential, seriously talented, much moreso than Knights. Worth a punt but only if we could get him cheap enough. Hell, 2-3 years of him stuck on the injury list still > 2 more years of Hampsud playing regularly.
-
Worth a third rounder at most. Could also be worth a second round upgrade for Freo.
-
Only a straight swap for Knights. Need our list to be balanced and maintain the healthy balance of one injury list bludger

exactly - I call rubbish - no way he'd want out unless he's an absolute dog of a bloke

Why stop at 3? Lets go 5 :shh

A straight swap for Hamspud or Grigg would pretty much have the same effect.
-
just what we need.....a Rabbitoh....

Grigg at least gets on the park

Which is where the problem starts.

Yep.
1. Scully
2. Trengove
3. Martin
4. Morabito

Yes lets replace Knights with Morabito in the knee inj indefinite rehab group.
At 300K plus a season that should be the sugar to sweeten this deal.
You beauty.
He can play 4 games next year.
Maybe half a dozen in 2016.
He can get a farewell game against his old club in the popular 1:10 timeslot at Etihad in front of 50 travelling Freo fans and a couple of security guards. :help
-
Just for the record he's played every game this year in the WAFL.
He's averaging 21 disposals and can't crack a gig in the senior side.
Not saying I want him but Nick Malceski proves its possible to come back from 3 knee reco's.
-
this is the bloke who said that he understands that he may have to start his career interstate, before being drafted.
Chances of luring him away from WA are minimal.
Chances of luring him away fro any length of time are even less

yep id have a run at him. far from a spud. worth a shot at. i thought i heard a week or so ago he was killing it and was not far off. obviously not well liked by Lyon
-
to me there was just 4 picks for us in 2009, trengove and scully who were melbourne bound and everyone knew it and martin and morabito. i would have taken either in front of the melbourne boys.
for me being in wa and seeing moribito a fair bit he was my choice at pick 3. hes a serious talent who has been totally cruelled by knee injury.
im not sure what affect the knees will have on his ability to reach his potential but if given a good run without injury i reckon he will still become a good player at the very least.
sheesh if he cements a spot at freo their mids which are big compaered to most will get even bigger. how many 190/98 quick line breaking mids are there about the place.
norabito 190/98
mundy 192/91
fyfe 190/88
barlow 190/90
crowley 188/90
-
surely none of you are even thinking this rehab supervisor will be getting in the gates of Tigerland. :rollin
-
Tough choice. Talented but injury prone. If he was PSD then sure why not. 1 year contract or multi year with an injury clause. Too many injuries just makes an uneven team.
-
hes not going anywhere, he wont walk and dockers will stick by him
-
If we got him he'd probably play VFL as griggs back up under hardwick
-
grigg backs up under hardwick?
that explains a lot........
-
Has this bloke ever played a decent game at senior afl level or are we talkin u16s last time he showed something , someone link a best players for reference

The guy can seriously play BJ. His injury curse is the only question mark he has over him.
-
WAFL report....
Anthony Morabito again starred for Thunder with 24 disposals, while Fremantle ruckman Jack Hannath kicked two goals and combined well in the ruck with Jonathon Griffin.

Aint going to happen
